The location!

Loch Ness Glam Lodges, booked via Booking.com. We chose the cheapest option, the Munro, at about 12.5 square meters. In the photos provided by the host, it naturally appears larger due to the wide-angle lens, and the website mostly shows more spacious and better-equipped lodges. Once inside, we found that several basic facilities were not in order. The toilet seat falls down by itself, both when standing and sitting, and it leaks with every use. There was no washing-up brush or tea towel. The kitchen tap was completely loose in the countertop. The pans had damaged non-stick coatings. There was no bin, no bin bags, and no dining table. Instead, there were two oversized armchairs, each about a square meter in size. The shower entrance was far too narrow because the sink was placed too close, and the bathroom door opened inward. In short, the space was far too cramped to be safely usable. The place was also not properly cleaned—there were crumbs and food remains under the kettle and toaster. In short, not worthy of Booking.com and therefore far too expensive: £248 for three nights. When we asked about upgrading, this was possible—with more space and fixing several shortcomings—for an additional £150. After we raised our complaints, we received a dirty bin, three new pans, and four synthetic dishcloths. A garden table was taken from another lodge and used as a dining table. Normally there is always something small that is not quite right, but this booking—apart from the fantastic location—was one big disappointment.

It was a really calm place to disconnect.

When you get there there’s only 3 parking spots for almost 8 lodges. Later we found out that to get to the parking area you have to keep going for about 100 meters.

Location and quirkness of the different pods. Comfortable for a one night stay. Nice location on the river.

There was no thought in how this place was furnished or kitted out. Only one tumbler to drink from . Chairs in lounge area were way too big . And were tired and smelly.

Amazing location and amazing property. A cozy lodge to spend family time together. Right in the middle of woods and nature with the sounds of stream running through. We walked into the stream and it was quite enjoyable. The process of checkin and checkout quite easy and well communicated in advance. Overall a very good experience.

No negatives.

Die Lage war sehr schön, die Gastgeber sehr höflich und hilfsbereit

Leider war Wasser nur in der Küche möglich und dort musste man sehr lange warten, zum Duschen hab ich es nicht ausprobiert,mir war der hohe Wasser Verlust zu arg, auch Probleme mit Feuchtigkeit bestanden, für mich als Allergiker nicht ganz so toll

Die ruhige Lage, direkt neben einen kleinen Bach. Von der großen Terrasse hat man einen schönen Blick ins Grüne und auf den Bach.

Kleine Lodges, die aber für größere Menschen nur bedingt geeignet ist. Die Türen sind 1,70 hoch ! Auch die Betten sind relativ kurz mit 1,90. Die Parkplätze liegen ca 200 m von den Häuschen, auf einem unbewachten Parkplatz entfernt.
