Dalakit House Hidden Gem, Tranquility Nearby town

The cottage is beautiful in every detail. It's clear it was designed by someone who understands art, music, and travel, and respects nature. The materials and furnishings are high-quality, attractive, and inviting. The kitchen is sufficiently stocked to heat up a meal or make coffee. There's free water, tea, a few spices, and olive oil. The cottage is small but comfortable enough for two people, even for a few days. The cottage's greatest asset is the terrace overlooking a beautiful, sacred tree. It's wonderful to sit there at any time of day, unless the mosquitoes prevent it. We were able to do so after lighting numerous repellent incense sticks. The cottage is great, but only for people who enjoy living in harmony with nature. Everything is exposed. You have to be prepared for the possibility of various bugs and ants inside. Of course, not to mention the easy access of larger animals like spiders and lizards. We have no fear of such animals and insects, so we felt comfortable and at home. The house is completely glass-walled and beautifully lit, so it looks magical at any time of day. The forest setting is incredible. It's close enough to the road that you can hear motorbikes and cars, so you don't feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. During the day, you can also hear people working around the property, so you don't feel like you're alone deep in the forest. The owner was waiting for us with the keys and showed us around the house. He's very friendly.

The open bathroom can create awkward situations if you're traveling with a couple. The rain shower head in the bathroom is very stylish but not very practical. It's difficult to wash with it. It would be better if it had a regular shower head. Furthermore, the water from the rain shower head spills onto the toilet bowl. The bathtub on the terrace is a beautiful design, typically for Instagram photos, but not for bathing. It's very uncomfortable. The sink is located behind the bed. Where the mirror should be, there's a picture. Therefore, you can't brush your teeth, apply cosmetics, or do your hair at the sink; you have to use the bathroom, which is constantly wet and doesn't have a sink. I don't recommend driving to the cottage or, if you don't have your own scooter.

The house is beautiful. Nice design touches. A lot of light. I can highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have romantic escape from city. There were some mosquitoes, bugs, ants, birds, etc. If you're sensitive for these - don't go here. The house is literally in a jungle. We loved it, but some people might come unprepared.

We stayed there 3 days. Two of them so construction was ongoing (first day some electrical works, second - water pumping). We do understand, that this house needs a lot of attention from maintenance people, but host could give a heads up and agree on the most convenient time. We wanted more tranquility, but workers created too much noise. House is far away from everything. Every trip to the restaurant, shop, etc. - an expedition. Get prepared. There was no matches, only 1 knife, but host solved those issue quickly.

El lugar es de ensueño y la atención increíble. Nos solucionaron todos los inconvenientes súper rápido. No creo q sea para todo el mundo, si no te gustan los insectos no es tu lugar, porque son una parte mas de dentro de la casa.

La mosquitera que había no era la de las fotos, era pequeña e incómoda, y eso hizo que la última noche fuese movida, nos encontramos en la cama todo tipo de compañeros jeje

El entorno es espectacular y la cabaña con cristaleras es muy bonita, espaciosa y práctica. Tiene muchísimo encanto.

El acceso a la cabaña es muy complicado si no es en moto y con el equipaje se dificulta bastante. La mosquitera de la cama faltaba porque se había roto y… estás en medio del bosque, con lo que ello conlleva, pero entendemos que fue algo puntual.

it was absolutely stunning. It was everything and more from the beautiful nature views and sounds to the outside bath looking out onto the jungle. This hidden gem was a once in a lifetime experience! We loved the seating area out the back where we had our coffee ( that was provided ) and some breakfast. We miss it already!!!

it’s not that we didn’t like this but I think it’s worth noting that you are around a 20 minute moped ride away from all the restaurants and to get to the property a moped is kinda essential - which the host kindly arranged for us! Also another thing to note is that a gecko leaves a poop at the end of your bed around 3 times a day ( again, can’t be helped - you’re in the jungle!! )

The mother tree. The architecture and books. The isolation and sounds of nature, breeze, birds, bats, insects and dense jungle foliage. Night is best.

If anything, lack of a bird book. Tuktuk travel seems a bit high to and from as it doesn’t take long to get up hill. Scooter helps greatly if wanting to explore or get Elma’s traditional massage.
