I Gelsi

Wir fühlten uns sofort bei Ankunft sehr willkommen, die Gastgeber Enza und Paulo sind immer erreichbar und sehr bemüht, den Gästen den Aufenthalt so angenehm, wie möglich zu machen. Enza spricht perfekt englisch, so dass die Kommunikation sehr einfach ist. I Gelsi liegt ruhig etwas abseits, es sind aber nur 10 min Fahrzeit bis in den nächsten größeren Ort Filgline Valdarno, wo es jede Menge Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt und ein nettes mittelalterliches Zentrum. Die Fahrzeit in die Innenstadt von Florenz beträgt nur etwa 3/4 Stunde. Der Pool ist schön groß und die ganze Anlage bietet reichlich Platz. Da es nur maximal 5 Appartments gibt ist es eine ruhige, angenehme Gemeinschaft. Das Wifi funktioniert einwandfrei. Wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen!

Der Weg zum Haus ist teilweise unbefestigt und nicht ideal für Fahrzeuge mit wenig Bodenfreiheit. Es empfiehlt sich Mückenschutz mitzunehmen.

The location is so perfect and peacefull

I really recommend I Gelsi for anyone who wants to visit Tuscany. The hosts are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful, making the stay a real pleasure. The location overlooking the Tuscan hills is amazing. And the accommodation is perfect with comfortable rooms, an outdoor area, and a beautiful pool. Great location also to visit many towns and villages including Florence and Sienna.

Our hosts Enza and Paolo could not have been more accommodating. Knowing we were arriving late and there being no markets open, they left food for us in the fridge. The next day, Paolo brought us a bottle of wine and fresh fruit from the garden. The pool and the views from the pool were postcard perfect. We couldn't have hoped for a better Tuscany getaway.

Our hosts Enza and Paolo were really welcoming. It’s a Quiet rural location. Close enough to amenities for convenience, but secluded enough to relax and enjoy countryside and pool

The temperatures during our stay were higher than normal for July ie up to 37 . Hence the apartment could have benefited from air conditioning, but they supplied fans to each room. Also pool was great to cool off.

Peaceful and beautiful, very good location and very nice and helpful hosts. Several guests had visited I Gelsi before - it is a place that you come back to. We hope to visit another time again.

A true gem of a farmstay in amogst the family's olive groves and around the corner from Sting's famous farmyard pizzeria. The apartment has charm and is cosy with all the equipment you need. Basic but sufficient. However, the true beauty is in the location and the swimming pool which overlooks the Tuscan hills and valleys and is extremely large!

The cooking facilities are basic and the fridge is rather small - but it has all you need for a week's stay

the peace and quiet, the hosts Enza and Paulo were lovely friendly and super helpful. loved the accommodation , simple clean and very Tuscan in style with everything you needed to enjoy your stay, we especially enjoyed the pool and the terrace to sit on in the evenings. If we return to this area we would definitely choose IGelsi
