The Nook, Portstewart

The location

No dislikes

We stayed with our older dog & the host had very thoughtfully set out a doggy towel, treats & bowls for our stay. The sea view from the living room was exceptional and the apartment was directly above the main promenade so close to shops & restaurants. Very clean apartment, kitchen had cleaning products to use & even fresh milk in the fridge. Excellent communication from the host too.

You need to bear in mind this is a first floor apartment so you do need to be able to manage stairs (fine for us). The apartment was a bit chilly but it was a blustery few nights in February when we stayed! There were additional oil filled radiators provided & we had brought several fleece blankets with us (we are familiar with NI weather, lol!).

Wonderful view over the sea. The Nook is beautifully decorated and in pristine condition. Very comfortable bed and good use made of small spaces. Very easy to access the apartment. Clear instructions from the owner, who kindly left a carton of milk in the fridge as well as some delicious snacks.

Friday and Saturday nights on the Prom can be noisy but the advantages of the location made up for this.
