"Perfect stay in the black mountains area; In the top 3 of all the places we stayed at as a family."

10.0

The place is amazing. Looks better in real life than it does in the pictures. Everything is “in place” and of high quality. The staff are very nice and accommodating. The hot tub was an excellent way to relax after hiking all day. Views are amazing. Perfect stay, added a night just because we loved it so much.

Beds too soft for our liking. The upper floor gets really hot for some reason, took us some time to figure out the right heating setting

The accommodation is actually more luxurious than even the photos let on. Everything is immaculate. The hot tub is nicely sheltered and I sat one night in rain drizzle until 1 am after my long drive just soaking and enjoying the fairlylit atmosphere. Waking up to sheep blaring is perfection while having a cup of coffee or another dip in the hot tub. Nice walks and area to explore but you almost don't want to leave. My kittie traveled with me and was very happy and comfortable there.

There was nothing I didnt like.

"Great location, excellent views, well furnished and equipped….highly recommend."

10.0

First class location and accommodation, beautifully finished, we met the owners who were helpful and welcoming. We stayed during the hottest summer in living memory,(July 2025), which ( through no fault of the owners) meant that this charming converted farm building was uncomfortably hot especially upstairs. ( a fan was provided but, this was an exceptionally hot week and we struggled to sleep) . This is NO fault of the owners, just Mother Nature. The property is very well equipped, we suggest you visit the Sugar Loaf vineyard, fantastic views and a great menu, the Italian restaurant in Abergavenny( near the old market), the dining in the Angel hotel in Abergavenny is highly recommended ( but somewhat expensive), walks along the canal, and the old railway line close to the accommodation ( easy and picturesque). We are already planning a return visit, we highly recommend this property, hot tub at sunset, with a “suitable liquid refreshment “ …..yum.

Be aware of the completely stupid 20 mph speed limits in force due to the idiot local councils…. You will be overtaken by cyclists as you impede their progress……
