Alps and Lake Retreat Wanaka

Well-equipped house with a dishwasher, kitchen appliances, sufficient tableware, washer-dryer, clothing rack, heaters, etc. Communication with the property management was easy and friendly, and they were very quick with their replies! They were wonderful at providing support throughout our stay. Location was good as we were only a short drive away from Wanaka.

Strangely, toiletries such as shampoo and body soap weren't provided, besides a handful of paper sachets. Upon asking, they mentioned it's because it is a privately owned residence and not serviced like a hotel, so they only supply an initial amount of these items. This was odd to me because the house was such a wonderful supplied and equipped accommodation otherwise. The shower had absolutely no shelving either, so the paper sachets of soap they provided were difficult to work with. Would recommend coming with your own toiletry bottles. We also had trouble getting Disney+ to work on the TV, but found a workaround with the casting function on our phones.

Apartment has everything you need for a week long stay including full kitchen and cooking utensils. Washer drier. Good heating in all rooms.

While mostly very clean, a bit more attention to vacuuming floor under tables and couches etc would get a top rating from me

The place was cozy and close to shops and grocery stores. Pretty good location!

The window blinds in the living room close to the kitchen wasn't working so it was all the way up throughout our stay.

Brand new show house very clean

Very convenient to a small grocery store, great bakery. River walking path is nearby. Cooking facilities were good. Also has laundry.

Nothing. It suited us for what we had planned on the trip.

Very comfortable and had all the appliances and equipment you could want. Liked the little private patio.

The only small thing was there nowhere to put your things on the bathroom or in the shower.

Well equipped accommodation in a convenient position with Four Square and takeaway next door. Close to Wanaka with all it's amenities.
