we never stopped. upon arrival we saw lots of muddy boots on the door step, old tyres and metal in the backyard and cobweb covering the garage and front of house. we drove off and booked elswhere. we lost the money for this after deeming it as not acceptable to stay at

Had no air con and would had been nice to have frig and microwave in room for more privacy otherwise was all good

The host was very kind and helpful, the room was perfect - great location, very comfortable, and clean. I wish I would have stayed longer!

The Room was exactly what I needed, and so very close to where I was spending most of my time - very convenient. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in for a while! Mal and his lovely wife were so very genuine and kind. Hot water was excellent. I was appreciative of all the above.

Nothing I didn't like, but maybe a selection of teas would have been nice and a small bar fridge to keep cold drinks would have been good.

Das Bett war sehr bequem und die Hosts, mit dem man zusammen in einem Haus lebt, waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Unterkunft befindet sich in einem Neubaugebiet, alles ist sehr modern. Der Fernseher ist ein Smart TV und Netflix schauen war möglich.

Nette Gastgeberin. Neues Haus mit schön eingerichtetem Zimmer und Bad. Bequemes Bett. Gutes Internet. Ich durfte Kühlschrank und Mikrowelle benutzen.

Es könnte sauberer sein.

The location was north Hamilton and was useful for my travel. This was a new home in a large new housing development. The room was spacious nice storage wardrobe room and comfortable en suite. New, freshly decorated. Looks fine but opening up ones home also requires a little personal connection to clients. New build apartments and houses being built on street. This was a husband wife couple. The wife will potentially be a great host. A little shy. Needs to do brief proper introduction for guests. Wecome…I am so and so and then a brief rundown regarding how their homestay works.

This homestay appeared to be managed by a couple in a two bedroom home. It was difficult to communicate with the property from the beginning. I was trying to ring re. my arrival time & left two messages because the husband would not answer his phone nor reply. There was just a cryptic answer phone message, ‘you know I’m not going to get back to you…’ Not a great intro. Suggest you give the wife reponsibility for return calls. The wife was lovely, helpful (I needed an iron and access to their fridge…and water…Hamilton was very hot during stay) and made excuses for the husband when I arrived. This was a new home, the husband seemed to struggle a little with diplomacy and cautioned me prior to entering this was a brand new home and I needed to take off my shoes - that’s fine suggest guests bring jandals. You will be walking in and out and across the street to parking. No room for parking on property he has a large pickup parked in front of garage. The room was brand new, lovely but hot. One small window permanently open. A fan in the corner ran all night and whenever I was there. Queen Bed relatively comfortable but heavy duvet, additional cover also heavy. No fridge in room this would have helped a lot. No cleaning dishes or room, no daily towells. Used the same towell for 6 showers during stay. Large TV with the channels but no aerial connection - wire hung down. Channels didnt work, gave up. There was no breakfast. There were tea facilities (minimal) on a table next to the bed. The sugar was infested with ants. I think communication was a big issue with this property. New Zealanders expect some kind of brief genuine connection with hosts and then they can be left alone. I had a busy schedule travelling for work back and forth during my stay. A little training in communicating with clients (guests) wouldn’t hurt and it would help this property enormously.

Quiet location in a new neighbourhood. Room was a good size and clean. Bed was comfortable and facilities were good.
