Solo a pochi minuti dal mio ufficio, comodissimo. Situato nel quartiere diplomatico, tranquillissimo. L'edificio ha ancora le scale interamente in legno e questo lo rende molto speciale, quasi esotico. Il proprietario Joe e il figlio Erik estremamente cortesi. Erik è venuto a prelevarmi alla stazione ferroviaria proveniente dall'aeroporto. Un ragazzone simpatico e gentilissimo, mi ha aiutato a portare le valigie fino a casa.

Letto soppalcato che non ho mai usato, temevo di cadere dalla scaletta, specie di notte. Ho preferito dormire sul divano a ridosso della finestra sotto il soppalco, con doppi vetri ma forse la chiusura non perfettamente ermetica. C'era solo un tavolino da salotto scomodo per consumare i pasti che si possono preparare agevolmente con le due piastre a induzione e il miroonde della piccola cucina sistemata nel corridoio. Sarebbe perfetto con un piccolo tavolo da pranzo e due sedie normali.

Absolutely adored the location. You are a 10 to 15 minute walk from literally any place you need to be. The location is right in the heart of the diplomatic district with embassies all around you. A grocery store, multiple bakeries, multiple food places just around the corner. If you walk out the door and go left, you hit more of the cosmopolitan area, if you go out the door right you hit more of the ambassador area. The Queens Park is 5 mi away and that is the back door to the Royal Palace.

I didn't like the ladder. But that's it. Just wear socks.

Very friendly hosts, nice and calm area, comfortable mattress and quiet apartment with window to the inner courtyard. There was everything I needed for my 2 week stay.

One minor thing was that the house is old and there was a draught from the window, making sitting on the couch somewhat uncomfortable. Turning the heat up only resulted in warming the upper part of the room, where the bed is. The kitchenette is also quite small and not very convenient for proper cooking, but it is ok for preparing something simple.

I really liked the area, walking from the station, I spotted an amazing cafe that I would often get breakfast from, and bus stops were close by and was very convenient when heading towards the downtown area/aker brygge. In addition, the hosts were lovely, I was running a bit late from the airport and transfer, and they were willing to wait for me for key drop off.

The apartment is centrally located and yet quiet and very cozy. I was warmly welcomed and had a wonderful time. Everything I needed was there. Thank you!
