La Bamba Homes

First of all, I would like to thank Anandini. We reached Shimla very early in the morning from Delhi. Our only concern was whether we would be allowed to check in at the hotel in the morning or not because the check-in time is 11:00 am. But the hotel staff gave us an extra double deluxe room and gave us the opportunity to rest early in the morning. Kuldeep has served us a lot, the hotel property is very nice. It is clean, the food is awesome, I will definitely recommend this hotel. Next time, I will definitely come back with my family.

Nothing - I did not stay

I booked the property via booking dot com after booking I messaged the property to confirm the correct address so I could find the place. The property responded and provided the location information and a google maps reference. However on the day of check in the property sent me a booking dot com message saying they had been trying to contact me (but there were no booking dot com messages) This was the only channel I had contact the property on. They canceled and gave the room I booked to someone else.

Our room was very spacious and well equipped for a family of four with a bed + sofa bed. The design is very appealing, well kept and super clean. The live-in caretaker was always ready to help (no English though) and would also take care of our laundry and meals (if pre-ordered). The common room with sofa and dining table is a big plus making us truly feel home away from home!

Parking was a problem on the slope for our big car. The nearby paid parking charged 300₹/day. Although you could walk to mall road it was too far for our young kids. Traffic jams and parking make driving stressful in Shimla, no auto-rickshaws available as an alternative, only cabs.

I really enjoyed the stay at La Bamba Homes. Since I was travelling with my mother I wanted a place which was easily accessible in terms of climbing and also had a homely vibe. La Bamba fulfilled both these criteria plus it’s really close to the mall through a 15 min climb. And if you are with someone aged there is taxi stand near by. The staff at the stay is really great and helpful and he always has smile on his face ready to assist. Also, the manager of the property was really helpful in the initial coordinating of the booking of my stay. Lastly, the rooms are spacious with great mountain views and good seating and storage.
