Scenic Welsh Cottage in the Brecon Beacons

Everything you need and very clean

Clean and well furnished. Excellent kitchen. Pleasant outdoor garden for BBQ. Short drive to pubs and restaurants.

The camping site nearby has a small store, a little outdoor bar that offers some breakfast and on fridays there was a small truck that sold freshly baked pizza. The atmosphere was just perfect. I loved it.

Very well equipped cottage especially the kitchen, detailed information folder and campsite next door had more info and staff of we needed anything

Very helpful hosts. Brilliant location and house. Ideal for us and another family with 4 pre-school children. Lots of space inside (garden smaller than expected but lovely) and quite soundproof. One of the bedrooms had a little extra section that was perfect to fit our son's cot in so he couldn't see our bed!

Beds very soft but that is just being very fussy!

Excellent cottage. Clean, tidy & well equipped. Good size bedrooms & comfy beds. Great kitchen / diner & cosy lounge. Lovely garden to watch the sunset over the hills just listening to the birdsong & nearby babbling brook. Good walks on the doorstep. There was plenty of parking, which was a bonus. Great location with views of mountains plus coffee cabin & small shop on campsite next door plus cafe & pub within flat walking distance ( cafe & pub not open all week). Campsite in front of the cottage was very quiet & cottage set back behind high hedges across the lane so it's not noisy at all. I enjoyed the peace & and quiet, but it was close to amenities & Crickhowell / Abergavenny. Very dog friendly. Lots of room for my small dog. ( Dog sleeps in her crate in the kitchen, so she needed space, but there was plenty of room for both the crate and her separate dog bed) 2 log burners, however it was warm enough, so I didn't use them. I was visiting friends locally, so I would definitely book again next time we visit.

Nothing to dislike a few minor pointers... Lovely garden but beware it's 100% secure, so I had to keep my puppy ( just turned 12 months old) on the lead whilst in the garden. Not a problem though. Would be nice to have spare dog bowls ( I forgot to bring water bowl & had to go & buy one). Cottage was otherwise very well equipped
