Eagle Eye Yala

Notre séjour ici fut formidable, tant par l’originalité du logement (un cabane en haut des arbres, qui donne une vue panoramique sur la nature qui l’entoure), que par l’hospitalité et la gentillesse du personnel (le petit déjeuner et le dîner sont absolument délicieux et très généreux). Si vous devez vous arrêtez une nuit pour faire le safari de Yala, venez ici ! Encore un grand merci à toute l’équipe 🙏

We stayed on a tree house, great ambience, nice staff, great place !!

We visited on August, bit sunny ,recommending air conditioning, hopefully they will consider in future. Otherwise it was really nice, great effort by Niro and team.

Niro, il proprietario dell’albergo, è stato per molti anni Guida naturalistica del parco di Eye Yala. I Safari è stato organizzato in maniera perfetta ed il voto è 10. Il posto è molto tranquillo e rilassante e lo staff è gentile.

la stanza non ha alcun comfort e ed è carente di pulizia. Manca corrente elettrica nella stanza ( inteso come prese, per la notte c’erano delle piccole luci soffuse)e i letti sono poco puliti. Inoltre il il prezzo sia dell’albergo sia della cena e fuori da ogni livello di accettabilità per il servizio e la qualità offerti. Spero che il proprietario riesca a colmare queste gravi lacune, perché comunque è una persona con entusiasmo e competenza e pieno di gentilezza.

De campsite ligt op een prachtige plek aan het park en ver weg van de drukte. We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad!

This is truly an outdoor experience and not to be confused with a hotel stay. The staff were absolutely wonderful you couldn't fault them. They were there but yet they were not. You had all the privacy you wanted and felt you were all by yourself but when you needed the staff they were there immediately. It's an experience staying in a tree house so close to jungle and not to be missed but it has to be your cup of tea not everyone can handle it. Your at one with nature and your definitely sharing with them. The staff arranged a safari tour for us and their driver / guide made sure we missed nothing and we got to see a leopard close up.

There was a need for a fan in the room because of the heat which the owner said he was planning to install

This place was an absolute one of a kind. I cannot explain how amazing the owner and his team were. They made sure we had everything we needed including charging our devices, making me a herbal tea, freshly squeezed juice, providing beer to purchase etc. We had the Sri Lankan dinner and it was probably the best food we had on our whole trip. They provided a gorgeous environment with a fire pit for the evening time. The breakfast was amazing and they organised the safari for us too. They also come and pick you up and drop you off at a pick up point, with very good communication. It was a true jungle experience and nothing was too much for the owner and his amazing staff. Thank you!!

I found staying in the jungle challenging because there were animals that would be in our room (lizards, frogs etc.) You should sleep with the windows/doors open but I was too afraid so it was very hot. If you are a very jumpy person that isn't comfortable with all the animals that come with staying in the jungle then be prepared. But if i survived, anyone can! It truly was an exceptional experience.

this is not even glamping standards and be warned it does not have any of the facilities it says it does. The tree house room was extortionate for what you get - no wifi, plugs, air con, fans or mosquito's nets, a flimsy and smelly structure with a shower outside not really covered from the staff walking around and cold with a plastic base that moves and is mud covered. The staff however were very friendly and the concept is great - camping in the park with bonfire and bbq but the meal choice is two options and breakfast get what your given. Also be warned that although it's in the park you have to take half hour to get in and out of this place to get anywhere, so if going into Yala you are half hour further than most other places along a very bumpy route that is only accessible by their jeep in and out. No facilities on site so take whatever you need in else you are stuck.

Staying at this treehouse was the best decision we made for our Yala safari trip! It felt like living out a childhood dream—sleeping high among the trees in a cozy, clean space with everything we needed. The property is huge and full of charm: a beautiful BBQ spot by the firepit, a swing made from a tree trunk, and torch-lit pathways perfect for evening walks. The safari experience began right at the location—just outside the grounds, there’s a small watering hole where animals come to drink! The host was incredibly kind and helpful—he arranged our transfer, cooked delicious meals, and made sure we lacked nothing. The only minor downside was that the only power outlets were in the host’s house, but we managed just fine with power banks. A few extra tips: - The shower is outdoors (summer-style), but in the Sri Lankan heat, that’s actually a plus! - Bring cat food—there’s an adorable little cat crew here. - Book at least 2-3 nights; we didn’t want to leave! With only a few treehouses (I think three, maybe more being built?), it’s great for small or large groups. One of the most unique and atmospheric places I’ve ever stayed—highly recommend!
