The Hardy Room

Very comfortable bed and good quality adjoining bathroom.

I would much prefer my own bathroom and a TV but couldn’t reasonably expect that at the price.

I did not have breakfast there but kitchen was lovely and homely andxwoukd have been happy to eat there. Linen washed daily so all kept clean and fresh. Bathroom immaculate. Very quiet and other guests thoughtful. Lovely honest and friendly hosts welcomed me abd teddy bear into their home! Links in well with 10 min no. 16 bus hourly at moment from stop 1/4 mile away with two convenience stores nearby and good walking in Clewer area with lovely old St. Andrew's Church and walks to Windsor alongside River Thames. Parakeets are flying wild all around. Interesting old Railway Cottages dated 1860 in same road. Excellent shower!!!

Circular flourescent light in bathroom needs replacing ;-). I hardly watch TV but would have liked to watch after walking for much of the day as I was having a rare break. Nothing else. I will happily book again but keep the price reasonable because everything else in Windsor is dearer than where I live. Some pretty places to explore sll around and useful railway links to London, Henley and Maidenhead with buses to High Wycombe and Burnham Beeches to name a few places. Nothing to moan about. I had an amazing 4 nights!!! Thank you!8

Location was great - walking distance to Windsor Castle and coffee shops and bus stops. And, I was allowed to drop off my bags early.

It was very awkward entering the house through a kitchen where folks were cooking and eating, both on my way in and way out.

Parking Was really worried but turned out fine!

I liked the location and the bed was exceptionally comfy. Was nice having a good size double bed in a single room. Lots of plug sockets and a mirror. A step away from the bathroom which had what looked like a very modern and powerful shower. Staff were friendly and helpful and quick to respond to questions.

There was no bin in the bedroom, and the bin in the bathroom didn't have a bin liner in it. The desk had seen better days. No tea/coffee making facilities. No instructions on checking out/emergency fire exits etc. The most disturbing thing for me was you couldn't lock the room from the outside. I felt very uncomfortable just leaving my things in the room just to go to a local shop. Also, walking through an in use kitchen to get to a bedroom, felt more like paying for a room in somebody's house i.e. Air B&B. I don't think I would have paid what I did, had I known the set up.

The stay was very pleasant and the room and bathroom very clean. The price-performance ratio was right. The accommodation is a bit far from the center. The hosts were extremely friendly and the communication was very good, I always got a quick response. I felt comfortable, as if I was staying with my colleagues.
