The Bay

Very nice apartment which met all my expectations - lovely place to spend time in when the weather is rainy outside. Stratton has a good store nearby for groceries and two pubs so you have everything you need there for your stay. There's a car park around the corner just past the pub, no charges and I was able to get a space for the whole time I was there (5 days). Further afield it's only 10 minutes drive to car parking in Bude for gift/craft shops and very good beaches for walking and great sea/coast views. Some nice places to eat there too - recommend The Deck further up the high street at the top of the hill, great food and good views. Port Isaac 30 minutes and Padstow around an hour, so you've easy access to scenic destinations nearby. Would definitely recommend visiting out of high season when the crowds have thinned. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful break in Cornwall.

Very comfortable

Very difficult to find street parking after 23.00 hours. Also TV tuning very tricky and gave up after 30 min with dodgy remote control

Absolutely spotless. Everything we needed was there. Attention to detail was very impressive. Quality pillows,bedding,towels,carpets, furniture. Hosts were thoughtful & considerate to our every need. Pictures do not do this accommodation justice. A***** Kings Arms pub a stone thrown away, traditional pub grub.

Difficult to find any fault. At a push, my wife thought the bed was too hard. But that was only personal preference.

We absolutely loved The Bay. Very cosy and comfortable, and spotless. Andy and family had thought of everything ! Easy access instructions. Great location, free parking nearby in a lovely quiet town. Major Supermarkets a 3 min drive away, easy access to Bude.

What a beautiful apartment, I didn't want to go home! The situation was lovely, with stylish decor and a pleasant view of the river from the lounge window. Everything I needed was supplied, including a welcome pint of milk for that all-important cup of tea on arrival, cereals for breakfast and even a tin of biscuits. The furnishings were very comfortable, the bed offered a good night's sleep and the carpets were deep and soft underfoot. There was a modern shower, soft towels were supplied and everything was spotless. I highly recommend a stay here, thank you Andy, I would love to stay again!

My only problem was the television - being somewhat old-school, I have no idea what Firestick even means! :-)

We booked this late and we're told that we shouldn't of been able to do it as someone had not long left the property. Andy told us it would take a little time to get it ready for us. Within around 20 mins I had a phone call saying the bay was ready for us. Andy reminded me it was a one bed apartment and I told him I would be staying on the sofa while my work colleague had the bed. On arrival Andy had provided us with a blow up bed and duvet. I would like to thank you both for going above and beyond for us and making us feel welcome, it was a lovely room and we enjoyed our stay with you.

Apartment was easy to find,well equipped and spotlessly clean,owner kindly left cereal, milk ,biscuits and tea and coffee,which was much appreciated after a busy day. It was cosy and comfortable, with a comfortable bed. Highly recommend.

The Bay is a super apartment, spacious, clean and well equipped. Andy is an excellent host who is very attentive. I was on a short cycling trip to the area and Andy was able to accommodate my bike in his garage where it was safe and secure.

The host Andy was great! Very easy to talk to and everything was made simple to collect the keys and communicate back and forth. I arrived late as I had problems arriving but it wasn’t any problem. The property itself is super cosy and relaxed ! Cleanliness is immaculate ! Never seen a place so clean that takes regular guests … the carpets are super soft the bed is a memory foam mattress and you sink into it along with the quilt. There’s boxed cereal packets with cookies on offer along with tea coffee etc Full clean cooling facilities and organic soaps fresh for new arrivals. Andy was always on reach throughout my stay if I needed anything and is friendly and approachable .
