Traditional Cottage - Vila Samovila

Idyllic location, comfortable, clean and quiet. Lovely wood burner, cosy lounge. Beautiful views. The home cooked food was excellent. Caring and helpful hosts, as we had a couple of unwell guys, they prepared some simple food as well as the North Macedonian fare. A very unusual and very good place to stay.

The shower water took some time to heat up, as it relies on the wood burner which also heats the radiators. But! There is also a hot solar powered shower in a garden cubicle.

Serenity & nature. That's all you get here. Well also some delicious homemade food if you order it. Totally worth staying. Thank you Martin and your parents for flexibility and kindness 🙏

Internet might be down on evenings, but I wouldn't consider it a con at this place as you might just stare at the fireplace or read a book or just enjoy being where you are. Tip: don't leave food outside for the night, neighbour cats might come and taste some of it😄

The house and grounds are a work of art, so beautiful, quiet and peaceful. I loved the fireplace and the fire kept us warm all night. The breakfast was outstanding and the host was a pleasure to talk to.

The drive from the main road to the house was an adventure because Google maps took us to the wrong dirt road, but our host noticed us there and came to our rescue then we followed him to the house. The road is not bad, just don't trust Google and ask for directions instead.

This place is unique! Sitting between green mountains this little vila with its cute details helps to forget the world around you and makes you relax from the moment you arrive. If you like you can have food during your stay which is provided in the kindest manner and which is delicious as if your own mother would have done it! Make sure you ask how to reach the place beforehand and you might want to come with a car that can handle the short but slightly narrow and bumpy last part of the road. We will surely come again, thank you so much for the great hospitality!
