Villa del Mare

We were met in Massa Lubrense and escorted to the property, ten minutes away. Large bedrooms, comfy beds, huge terrace with spectacular views across to Ischia and Capri. Welcome bottle of melon liqueur on arrival. Plenty of towels. Little snagging points dealt with promptly.

NOT a Villa. This is a large apartment with adjoining properties to side and above bedrooms. Walls very thin so could hear every word of conversations and crying baby. Poor man upstairs coughing the whole of one night kept my son awake and worried whether the man needed medical attention. You are overlooked on the terrace. Area around swimming pool had overgrown grass. No Wi-Fi in bedrooms, patchy in living areas. Washing machine housed outside under a little shelter so we didn’t feel inclined to use it. Barbecue behind bins at front of house yet there’s plenty of room on the terrace. Parking is outside the property but not usually a problem. Wet room too small to avoid getting towels and clothes wet. Bring your own toiletries, only hand soap provided.
