Historic Home with Outdoor Hot Tub Near Downtown in Public Transportation Hub

Would be nice to have lamps on night stands next to beds Would also prefer a coffee pot instead of keurig

Loved the location/neighborhood with proximity to the downtown area but privacy while spending time at the house. The size is great, outside property very nice. Plenty of street parking for folks who drive, but easy public transportation access for folks who use that to get in/around.

We wished there were more kitchen utensils and such available. In hindsight, I could have brought a lot more from home and will be doing that in the future when I play to cook the way we did while in Chicago. Additionally, we had an issue with the fridge being broken BUT the hosts amazingly took care of it and had a new fridge in the home the next day. For anyone traveling in a group of 5+, it is important to note that there is only 1 full bathroom with tub/shower. Plan accordingly for your nights out:)

The period home was delightful with lots of original hardware. It was also very comfortable, spacious, well located and clean. The host was very welcoming, personable and readily accessible. THANK YOU!

We like to cook and so we would have liked a few more cooking utensils to enhance use of the beautiful and clean kitchen. Also could use strainers/stoppers in the kitchen sink.

This is truly a home away from home. We felt at ease the entire stay and even though we had a jam-packed trip, coming back to the house felt like coming home. The neighborhood is great for walking, and feels extremely safe. There are fantastic coffee shops and restaurants all throughout the neighborhood, and the street parking is plentiful, which makes staying in the city so much easier. I had exactly 30 minutes to myself during the trip, and while everyone else rested, I got in the hot tub and really recharged for the rest of our evening. It was cool outside and perfect in the tub. I cannot more highly recommend this home, and I can't thank Andrea enough. The house is historic and beautiful, and very clean. The beds are so comfortable, and having more than one bathroom is such a bonus. We ended up needing to use the dryer, and it's so nice to have laundry facilities when you accidentally end up with a wet shoe and socks! There's a fireplace and seating for hanging out inside when it's chilly, and it's super cozy. There's a Keurig for coffee and Andrea even offered to get us milk for coffee, but we opted to walk down to the local spots and soak in the neighborhood. I've said a lot but I still feel like I'm not capturing how great the property really is. If you've found this one, stop scrolling!

Not a thing. This property has everything you could possibly need, and is very accessible to the rest of the city. There are no negatives with our experience staying here.

Located reasonably close to downtown.Kept clean and had a homey feeling.located in the very nice old neighbourhood..Our car was parked right in front of our porch.The porch was the best.The breakfasts on the porch in the shade of the old tree. Thank you Andrea. We will come back.
