The Lake House

Nice hotel in a great location that offers lake side views and walks on the beach and a stones throw from the high street with lots of food options. Staff were fantastic, really helpful across every aspect of the stay.

Rooms felt a bit basic but functional. Some rough patches here and there but nothing terrible.

Great location at The Marina, easy drive to Liverpool City Centre but close to the sea front at Crosby for fantastic walks with the dog.

It looks a bit shabby in the communal areas - boxes are left lying around, paint is chipped and could do with a touch up and some outside areas could do with tidying up. Although the staff were lovely when you spoke to them, many times we came into the hotel and they didn’t even look up from their phone, or the check in/out desk to say hello. The bedrooms are spacious, light and clean - we asked for a Lake View which we got and the hotel accommodated our dog too. The rooms aren’t luxurious but they are very functional, fairly modern. Beds are huge which is great but very firm - and the pillows are rock hard!

Close enough to walk into the town and the surrounding areas.

Everything was satisfactory, no need to change.

Room was very spacious and clean. Had a sofa and table which is a lovely touch to have drinks in room. Bed was large and very comfortable. Bathroom was big and clean. Black out curtains which worked a treat. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Found quite a few hairs on bed covers. Food was not good, in the evening or at breakfast, expected better for the prices. Shower was a little temperamental, either too hot or too cold, takes a while to steady the temp. Rooms could provide a little fridge for drinks.
