Romny cozy bay Resort

Rien. C'est une véritable déception. Véritable tension entre le propriétaire et moi. Lisez mon commentaire négatif.

J'ai détesté mon séjour où le propriétaire Romny ne s'intéresse qu'aux familles et groupes. Normal, ils lui rapportent de l'argent par rapport à une voyageuse solo comme moi. Dès le départ, il m'a négligée, me montrant de loin mon logement, sans la moindre gentillesse de m'aider à porter mon sac. D'habitude, ils ont le principe d'aider quand on arrive fatigué, mais pas lui. Je lui ai verbalement dit que je ferai une excursion le lendemain, et absolument rien n'a été confirmé. Mais vu son attitude en soirée où il se précipitait pour s'occuper de prendre les commandes et servir des repas d'autres clients, me négligeant une fois de plus, j'ai préféré faire autre chose et ne pas lui donner mon argent. Quoique je commandais, ce n'était pas disponible. Le croiriez-vous si je vous disais que lorsque qu'il a pris ma commande, il ne m'a même pas laissé finir et est parti rapidement pour s'occuper des autres clients? Lorsque je lui ai dit, il ne s'en ai même pas caché. J'ai attendu pendant 1 heure avant d'être servie. Le lendemain, alors que je n'ai pas fait son excursion puisqu'il avait été ouvertement odieux avec moi, je suis partie visiter la sublime plage Lazy Beach que je vous conseille. En revenant le soir, il s'est énervé contre moi car je n'avais pas "honoré" son excursion. Il a été agressif et impoli. Lui, il ne pense qu'à l'argent, on est des portefeuilles sur pattes. C'était un 24 décembre, et à 20 h j'étais déjà au lit. De toute façon, il n'y avait pas d'ambiance. À 22h, les lumières étaient éteintes. Le lendemain avant mon départ, j'ai fait un gros effort pour détendre l'atmosphère en prenant le petit déjeuner chez lui ainsi qu'un billet de ferry. En tant que cliente, j'ai été obligée de faire un effort. C'est tellement surréaliste! La salle de bain commune n'a jamais été lavée, la nourriture n'est pas bonne.

Rien à redire. On a adoré

De locatie van het resort is echt prachtig! Direct gelegen aan eigen strand, echt prachtig. Het zwembad is ook erg fijn en mooi. De mensen daar zijn erg lief, het wordt gerund door een familie. Ze kunnen ook erg lekker Cambodjaans Koken.

De faciliteiten en kamers kunnen een goede opfrisbeurt gebruiken. Het is rommelig op het terrein. Het ligt afgelegen van de bekende stranden waardoor je meer bent aangewezen op het restaurant van het resort voor ontbijt en diner.

Schon der Shuttle vom Pier zur Unterkunft war von einer besonderen Klasse und hat perfekt auf das eingestimmt, was uns erwartet hat. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir von den Besitzern außergewöhnlich freundlich empfangen – man hat sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und rundum wohlgefühlt. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am Meer, der Strand ist nahezu menschenleer und fühlt sich an, als hätte man ihn ganz für sich allein. Wir hatten einen Bungalow mit Klimaanlage und einem traumhaften Blick auf Pool und Meer. Umgeben vom Dschungel fühlt man sich hier wirklich wie im Paradies. Ruhe, Natur und Entspannung pur. Über die Besitzer konnten wir unkompliziert einen Roller mieten und so die Insel erkunden. Generell ist auf Koh Rong Samloem nicht viel los – und genau das macht diesen Ort so besonders. In der Unterkunft gibt es ein Restaurant mit einer überschaubaren Karte. Das Essen hat uns gut geschmeckt und passt zur entspannten Atmosphäre. Es war ein rundum traumhafter Aufenthalt, den wir so schnell nicht vergessen werden.

Eine etwas erweiterte bzw. überarbeitete Restaurantkarte sowie eine größere Auswahl an alkoholischen Getränken wären eine schöne Ergänzung.

We were the only guests here since it was off-season (late-September/early October). It’s a decent sized resort, but we opted to stay in one of the cabins (no air conditioning, fan only) which is absolutely doable even in the 29 degree heat. Despite what the booking said about cabins having to use shared bathrooms, there is actually a private one attached to each of them now! The restaurant on site was amazing with Romny’s lovely wife cooking us fresh meals with what was available. There’s even a private beach with a pier that you can snorkel off for free with gear from Romny is you wish to!

No hand basin in the private toilet but there were some right outside on the main pathway. Just a bit of a mission when it’s blazing hot +/- the large amounts of rain.

The food was exceptional and there was lots to choose from.

Nothing everything was perfect.

Romny Resort is a true slice of tropical paradise. Tucked away on a stunning, secluded beach, it felt like my own private retreat. No blaring club music, no crowds—just the sound of waves and the breeze through coconut and mango trees. Pure peace. The food was absolutely delicious, and the coffee? Some of the best I’ve had. The whole atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Everything I needed was right there, and the hosts made sure of it. They were incredible—kind, attentive, and always available. From picking me up at the pier to helping with any questions, they went above and beyond. One of the highlights was the fishing trip with Mr. Romny. I had an amazing time and came back smiling. I can’t recommend this place enough… though a part of me wants to keep it a secret so it stays as uncrowded and magical as it is now. My stay was deeply restorative, and I’m already looking forward to coming back.
