The location is fantastic and size of the property is perfect for larger groups. Lots of parking too in a nice area

The heating wasn't working when we arrived but was fixed by an engineer quickly

The bedrooms were clean - or so we thought There was plenty of parking

The kitchen and living area needed a good clean There were not enough forks / glasses for the guests we had to use plastic ones The dishes were chipped. The dishwasher was not working and full so we had to clean up after the last guests before being able to use them Bins had clean bags but dirty bins The cupboards were half full of other guests left overs and opened packets. The bungalow is advertised as 6 bedrooms but only 5 were open. The hosts tried to charge us for the 6th as you have to specify more than 11 PAX when we had 8 adults and two needing their own room plus a child. I spent over 2 hours on the phone to both the host and booking.com trying to rectify this so the first night was ruined for me with cleaning the kitchen and getting the final bedroom open. The host disputed the cleanliness so I asked her to come and see if - turns out she is too far away to check it so how she disputed this fact is unknown??? They have since tried to charge us £290 for not leaving the house clean and breaking rules - we didn't do either. UPDATE to hosts reply - I've added the message (in photos) I was sent re the dishwasher - it states clean and that the washer was being attended to by cleaners - not a issue from previous occupiers. I've added the phone calls - showing it was 8pm not 5 calls at 10pm - I was not being an inconsiderate tennant - a frustrated one that it took till 10PM to be solved though. Re the blood stains - again the cleanliness of the house needs to be improved upon as we now know we were sleeping on unprotected mattresses so goodness knows what other bodily fluids were there.

Great location and very helpful hosts

The location was perfect for Lapland Uk. The bungalow was really lovely with everything you need, the beds were very comfty and the garden was gorgous.

Location

It wasn’t that clean, smelt bad, WiFi didn’t work, when the heating was on the radiators were very noisy. You can hear them tick and “fill up” you can hear them all through the night.
