Auberge de la Fontaine

Lovely stay, made to feel very welcome.

On arrival we realised that we had made a mistake. The 'hotel' was a damp and gloomy annex 30m or from the auberge. The room, although recently refurbished, smelt of damp and the entire 'bathroom' had been squeezed into a space smaller than most showers. We quickly rebooked somewhere else, paid and left. It was not expensive so perhaps we should have had more realistic expecations.

Very pleasant staff, our room had an outdoor area and there was a restaurant attached to the hotel. What more could you want!

The people were really friendly. Our little son got gifted a toy that he loves! The breakfast was amazing. And there’s a really nice restaurant you can eat.

Accommodation was good - perfect for a night stopover while on a long journey. We ate at the restaurant, great food and super value. Breakfast - good buffet. Set us up for another days travelling.

An authentic French hotel and restaurant in a rural area. The hotel was jut a few yards from the restaurant. Room shabby chic but very clean with all amenities including a very comfortable bed. The price was amazing £67 for one nights stay. The restaurant cost was €30 for a delicious 4 course meal. What’s not to like ? Loved the church bells on Sunday morning
