Waipu Cove Beach Stay

Great view. Air con .

Host was there to greet us. One huge room with beds and a table tennis table. Jigsaws, books suitable for a rainy day: it was. The host kindly let us in early. Close to beach - a short steep walk. Fine cafe/ restaurant there. Breakfast outdoors with fine beach views. Wifi worked well. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Washing machine and dryer.

Self catering possible but l limited A minor point.

Beautiful home, and stunning view!! Loved sitting on the deck and watching the Tuis !!

- Air conditioner in every room. - Clean bathroom. - Good location, walkable beach. - Beach view and you can hear the waves at night. - Comfy beds.

- We found some human hair on the sofa. - I hurt my head, and almost did it for the second time from stumbling upon the microwave shelf which was placed in a wooden shelf with pointed edge. - The second room was actually a garage with ping pong table and laundry room, so it felt a bit weird to sleep there. - One of the laundry doors was stucked/locked, so it was a bit cramp doing the laundry. - The welcome message felt not friendly enough compared to other places we've been to. - Bathroom and toilet access only through the main room (the only actual room), and can't be locked. - There was some laundry being dried in the garage (second room), so we couldn't use the drying rack.

Loved the use of the table tennis and enjoyed puzzles and outdoor dining and deck

The fridge was very noisy so needed to shut bedroom door at night

The location & view were great.

On the photos it looked like 2x separate bedrooms when it's one bedroom then with a double bed & some bunkbeds side by side in a garage. The bedding & decor were very dated with no or little style or theme. Towels were old and crispy & crockery all mismatched & old. The shower door was loose & bathroom uninspiring. The pillows were definitely a low light with practically zero filling and were floppy & loose. Really sorry to be negative but for the same price for a stay the weekend before which was only 10mins away in an equally beautiful location, the comparison was quite confronting. The hosts were responsive & seemed really nice through messenger & it was adequately clean, but for a last minute getaway I wouldn't rush back unless as a last resort. Almost seems like an after thought for accommodation on the property. Sorry it isn't more positive as it was 'fine' but could be alot better with some updates & some attention to detail...especially with those views which were the highlight.

The views were great, cute tiny house with garage. King size bed was very comfy, clean accomodation..Easy beach access and absolutely stunning coastal walk to Langs beach.
