Sonidos del Ande Wasi

The view on the mountains, in a quiet village near the beautiful nature wake next to the river that leads to Pisac town. Rooms are light and spacious, good beds. Cozy place that invites intimate conversations. The host Tania is very kind and hospitable

The kitchen could be a bit better equipped. They seems to have a little problem with flies but they clean it every day. Unfortunately no garden, but there is a basketball court with some grass behind the property if you feel like doing some movement

The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable, though I was missing furniture to put my clothes away. The facilities like the kitchen were available to be used freely and fully equipped (could be a little more plates). The location is beautiful and the community in the surrounding area lovely.

I was charged the 18% tax required by the government to be paid by the Peruvian travellers and should not be charged to the foreign tourists. I was also told that I need to pay the booking.com commission that should be covered by the hostel themselves to the booking.com directly. I did not realise that until I moved to another hostel and they did not charge me additional fees and also explained how things work in Peru. I wrote to Sonidos Del Andes on Booking's chat, but never got a response. When I returned to Sonidos Del Andes hostel to discuss the issue in person, I was refused to receive the refund. I was told that this was their regular practice and each hostel manages their financial matters differently thus due to their discretion whether they want to charge the 18% tax or not, which is against the Peruvian law. Considering that I stayed there for more than a month beyond my booking made with the booking.com the amount came to a considerate amount of money. I didn't enjoy the cleanliness of the kitchen and bathrooms, it was often dirty and unchecked. I didn't enjoy that the lamas were sometimes kept outside in the yard tied on the ropes for days without being let out onto the fields. It was disturbing to me coming from a different background that the family owning the place was breeding the Guinea pigs for food in the back garden that the window of the room was facing at. One, for the conscious of them being bread for food and killed, secondly there was a lot of flies everywhere dying and not being cleaned up from the floors.

This was a beautiful hostel....clean, cozy, equipped with a kitchen and a great location away from the hustle and bustle of Pisac. The owners were friendly, warm, and helpful. An easy location to get into town, to visit the archeological sites or the lagunas. Serene.

Very good place for rest, with beautiful light rooms and amazing view. The owner is wonderful woman who brings good vibes and atmosphere They have warm blankets and hot shower 🙌🏼
