Isle-of-Lewis delightful cosy croft house retreat

Lovely comfortable home with everything you need for a self catered holiday. A washing machine and dryer was very handy as we had some cold wet weather.

Quite a long way from anywhere which isn't a bad thing, just be mindful of this when you book. House has a musty smell when you arrive.

Brilliant warm and cosy cottage. Owners on hand if you needed them. Great facilities and comfortable beds.

Comfortable beds and plenty of bedding and towels. Well equipped kitchen. Warm house. Powerful shower on ground floor. Peaceful setting. Location good for travelling around Lewis and Harris, seeing the different landscapes and stunning beaches.

The seating at the dining table was not very sturdy - none of our party of four were on the heavy side but we felt this impacted our dining experience during breakfast and dinner, as one chair appeared fragile. As there were only four chairs we had no option other than to use this. As we could only find one restaurant open during our visit, we had to mostly eat in. The food shack on the beach was also closed. We were told that the lack of open restaurants was due to not being able to recruit staff, so the only guaranteed meals we could have out were in Stornoway.

This lovely home was delightful. We had everything we needed inside and was perfect for getting away from the city. I would definitely recommend visiting.
