Toast by night

De locatie is gelegen in een rustige, autoluwe straat in het mooie centrum van Haarlem. Veel leuke winkels en restaurants in de buurt. Alles op loopafstand. De hartelijke ontvangst en de welkomstwijn hebben we zeer op prijs gesteld.

Het is een oud pand, niet gehorig naar beneden, maar wel erg gehorig naar de gang/trappen en de bovenverdieping. De hele dag liepen mensen de trappen op en af. Maar na sluitingstijd van de lunchroom (17.00 uur) werd het rustig en 's nachts was het ook stil. De douche is erg klein en minder schoon. Het fonteintje op de kamer lekte (vergeten te melden), tandenborstelbeker was vies, oordopjes vd vorige bewoner lagen nog in de prullenbak, vlekken op de bank. Details.

Loved the location in the heart of old Haarlem. Close to many bars and restaurants. The room was cozy, and had everything one would really need. Private toilet, shower, coffee machine and kettle. You're literally given the keys to the front door of the shop to let yourself in and out when the business is closed. Definitely not something one could, or would find in the USA. But you're in Holland, and it's a safer experience.

Only think I could suggest would be some kind of light weight material window blind that would allow some light to come into the room while also not exposing the entire room to the view of the people across the street. There are pull down blinds and heavy fabric shades currently which are great for sleeping but make the room very dark and confined. It's a trade off between privacy and light.

Highly recommend!!! The room was super cute and clean! Great location for exploring the city and not far from the train station! The staff were very friendly and breakfast at Toast was delicious!

Wind was blowing the shower room door throughout the night, so a latch on the door may help. (This was only because the bathroom window was open all night)

Beautiful room in a really good location. Very easy (30 minute walk and train) to get to Amsterdam Central Station. The staff were amazing. The property is linked in with a cafe which we liked for food options. We would stay here again.

Toilet and shower are a bit quirky but they are usable. Wifi did not reach the top room.
