Todo estaba perfecto. La villa es muy grande y bonita. La piscina es espectacular. Puedes tomar el sol admirando las vistas a la montaña. El personal es muy amable y atento. Dharma estuvo pendiente de lo que necesitásemos. Terima kasih!

It was beautiful--great value for money.

The AC could use servicing but otherwise everything else was amazing.

We loved our stay at the Jungle House Amed. It is a beautiful villa, well layed out with the central focus on the pool and the beautiful view of the mountains behind. The staff were very responsive and met us to hand over the keys. The warung next door was excellent, and were able to make us breakfast each day and even lunch some days and deliver it.

The only slight downside to our stay at the Jungle House that you should know is that it is quite far out of town and in a new development area. It is ok if you are confident to hire a motorbike or car. Otherwise, it is quite a long walk back to the main restaurant area. There were unfortunately also a number of local dogs that didnt like tourists walking past at night, which would bark at us. Finally, the Jungle House Amed does require some maintenance. It was disappointing that the pool side umbrellas to keep cool were broken and one door handle in the bedroom was broken, making it difficult to open and close. With this simple maintenance we would have given Jungle House Amed 10/10.

"If you're looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, this place is a gem."

7.0

Tucked away deep in the jungle near the base of a mountain, this place offers a truly serene and secluded experience—perfect for those looking to disconnect and immerse themselves in nature. The view is absolutely breathtaking and was easily one of the highlights of our stay. The house is very spacious and has a rustic, rough-and-ready charm. It’s clear that the cleaners do a good job keeping it tidy, especially considering the natural setting. the pool was a standout feature—large, clean, and with a stunning view that made it a perfect place to relax. Do be aware that being in the heart of the jungle, insects are part of the experience, so it's best suited for true nature lovers. Communication with the host was excellent throughout. They were responsive, helpful, and very accommodating, which made the overall experience smoother.

There were a few aspects of the property that could use attention. Some fixtures need repairs—for example, the toilet wasn’t fully secured to the ground, the kitchen tap was leaking, and the air conditioning in the bedrooms struggled to cool the space properly. The rooms also felt a bit damp, likely due to the humid jungle environment and the recent end of the wet season.

The jungle house is an excellent place to stay. The villa is huge and has all the facilities you could need. Dhama is very friendly and as a host and is full of information. It doesn't provide breakfast but the lady who owns the little shop next door will provide breakfast and it's excellent . The lady and her daughter are brilliant and if you ask her she has a cousin Wayan who is a taxi driver. We used his services and he was brilliant and we couldn't have asked for more.

"I had a very enjoyable stay at the Jungle house and I would recommend it to friends."

9.0

No breakfast provided. The friendly staff were very efficient. All enquiries were quickly dealt with. The cleaning staff were very good. The house is no longer completely isolated in the jungle as quite a few new buildings are going up in the street which resulted in a certain amount of building noise. Nonetheless I enjoyed a very pleasant stay in this beautiful part of the island. The local people were all very friendly, and responded wonderfully to my modest attempts at greeting them in Balinese.

Building noise in the street. A slight musty smell which I think came from damp caused by a slightly leaky roof in one bedroom. (I was there in the rainy season.) One bathroom had very poor water pressure.
