Tulia Old Town

Location is good- clean private room with balcony over (smelly) river - ok for a night (wish I hadn’t booked 2 nights)

Hard for any taxi to find. Zero water pressure. Threadbare towel. Anything the hostel suggests is double or more the price - even a bottle of water is double the price!

The view

Misleading descriptions and photos. The rooms are way more run down, including matress towels pillows. We did not want to sleep there and had to cancel.

The staff are wonderful and very friendly. All in all I will come back again for the wonderful service and great view.

They need an iron box for ironing clothes and a basic first aid kit for emergencies. They also need to find a chef for Mondays, the chef's food is great when he is there from Tuesday-Sunday. Lastly their old town trip with the old tour guide called Muhammed was the worst walking tour I have ever had for 2500KES, this is certainly not worth it.
