Loved the quiet location and views from the restaurant.. owners are very helpfull and and the rooms are designed with a feeling for details.. amazing landscaping aswell

The River Island is a tranquil tropical paradise nestled between two rivers. If you appreciate quiet and natural beauty the River Island delivers. The cabins, based on traditional Balinese architecture are exquisite, tastefully decorated, have air con and the outdoor bathroom is beautifully constructed using natural elements. What makes The River Island even more special is the the kindness, hospitality and dedication of hosts Jero, her husband Komang and their wonderful staff. They are also raising their five daughters whilst tending to all that is involved in ensuring guests are comfortable and needs met. Just amazing ! River Island, for me, was an unforgettable experience, one of the best places I have stayed anywhere in the world.The spirit of Bali is alive at this beautiful place.

Die kleinen Bungalows waren sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und alles war sehr sauber und die Anlage sehr sehr groß und gepflegt, die Lage direkt am Fluss hat eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre und ist sehr idyllisch.

Die Lage des Hotels fand ich etwas schwierig.

Absolutamente todo nos gustó. La delicadeza del espacio, la cálida,dedicada y meticulosa decoración , las vistas a esos jardines que parecen de un cuento. Pero lo más importante fue la atención. Estar ahí fue sentirse en casa. Una atención que más que personal es íntima, familiar, amigable. Donde más que relación dueño- huésped es encontrarse con el amigo cercano. Eso genera Jro Viona , quien a cargo de la propiedad junto a su marido y sus 5 hermosas niñas , hacen de la estadía un lugar donde quieres quedarte más.

We stayed in Bali for 2 weeks and River Island at Sidemen was hands down the best property that we stayed in during this time. First and foremost is the lovely homelike hospitality from the host Joru and her 5 lovely daughters who are ever smiling and attend to all your requests with joy and happiness. Joru personally takes care of your comfort in a motherly manner and is ever enquiring if you need anything. The warm hospitality touched us deeply. The property itself is about 5 acres and at in very scenic environs. You can hear the river flowing at night. There's a nice restaurant where you can enjoy the view of the river valley and green mountains while having breakfast. Open air shower is a nice touch and we enjoyed bathing amongst the green environs. The breakfast is wholesome and excellent and is served while being decorated with fresh flowers every morning. Bike rentals are available at the property itself. This property is developing and has a lot of potential for future. Highly recommended to stay here. We were quite sad to leave after a 2 night stay.

The final approach road of about 150 meters to the property is a bit tedious and especially difficult on a bike during rain. Hopefully this can get addressed soon.
