Astella Lodge.

This was an excellent stay at Astella Lodge.Beautiful.Suzanne the owner was great very friendly.She gave us a lift and back to the wedding venue.Little touches were great.Her home made muffins were delicious.We will definitely go back to Astella Lodge when we go back to Somerset.

The weather was not good but nothing you can do about that

I could not of asked for more from this property. Suzanne was such a joy to deal with. She not only picked me up from the train station but also dropped me back. She was such a warm and friendly person. The lodge itself was warm and cosy. With free WI-FI it enabled myself to still feel connected even though i was out in the hills. I highly recommend this place.

Lovely comfortable lodge , a real home from home,so cosy. Suzanne even put the heating on for our arrival and came over and explained how everything worked for us .The cider and home baking was much appreciated as was the milk to make a cup of tea.The view from the French windows was of a garden and some woodland , this added to the cosy feel. The bed was comfortable and warm, there was literally nothing else needed in the lodge , tv was nice and clear and Netflix available. Suzanne was very knowledgeable about the area and we had a great time exploring. Really lovely place and host.

That we hadn't booked a longer stay !

Very tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. You can walk directly from the lodge on to the quantocks and there is a pub 2 minutes walk down the road. Suzanne is a wonderful hostess who goes out of her way to make your stay enjoyable. The muffins and cider were much appreciated.

There was nothing to not like

Very comfortable clean and cozy lodge in a good peaceful location to explore the area. Excellent bathroom including a good-size walk-in shower. Good garden and seating areas around the property which is ideal for a couple. Parking on site very convenient. Suzanne, the owner, was very helpful, welcoming and very customer-focussed. Her local knowledge was useful. We appreciated the delightful welcome basket and goodies. We would definitely recommend this property and would be happy to return.

Note that the staircase is quite narrow with a sharp turn that may not suit everyone. Overall there was nothing we disliked but we have suggested a few minor improvements to the owner to make all stays even more enjoyable.

Astella Lodge is EXCEPTIONAL, Suzanne the owner is also EXCEPTIONAL. My wife who is not normally effusive, was, and I agree, WE ARE going to stay again when we come down to the area again, Astella Lodge IS THAT GOOD. Suzanne, is friendly and helpful and her taste in furnishings and those little touches of style and class were appreciated greatly. For those that like the internet, it's excellent and if you wish to watch TV, it is so big in comparison to those that are commonly there As a base to visit the area it is perfectly positioned just of the A39 (yet so quiet)

Everything was just right. A warm reception from the owner and a cosy cottage. Well fitted out with everything You would need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. WiFi, smart tv. Parking close to the cottage. Lovely outside space with a backdrop of woodland.

Unfortunately, the weather was wet.
