Yellow Coco Gili Gede

Beautiful bungalow right by the sea – perfect for anyone looking for peace and relaxation. Communication was excellent from the very beginning. Yellow Coco organized our entire pickup from Mataram, including taxi and boat transfer, which made everything very easy. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a refreshing welcome drink. The hosts, Gun and Sofia, are incredibly friendly and helpful. They can also organize private snorkeling tours to the surrounding islands, which we highly recommend – a real must-do! We saw beautiful corals, turtles, and clownfish. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, which is included in the unbeatable price. We loved the banana pancakes, pineapple pancakes, and local dishes like Gado Gado. Our onward journey was also perfectly organized. Gun even helped us choose the right ferry to Gili Air. Overall, we were truly overwhelmed by the hospitality and kindness and very grateful for this wonderful experience.

Purtroppo c’è una quantità di insetti impressionante. Tutta la notte sentendo rumori di zampe e tarli del legno e voli di insetti.

On our last morning the owners started construction work right in front of us during breakfast and essentially kicked us out early with the noise and smell

There are 3 slightly different bungallows. I took the simpliest, cheapest one with a close but seperate bathroom which was just perfect for me. The cosy garden is right next to the beach. Everything is tidy and clean. The owners, Sofia and her husband are really kind and supportive. If you long for a super calm retreat, it is your place. Still you can walk around the island vesides swimming and snorkelling and reach more touristy spots if you want. And probably you will also realize that Yellow Cocco is the no1 on Gili Gede!

The island is not without garbage. But it is everybody's responsibility to keep it clean! Internet connection is not stable but note that it is an island...

Einfache, aber sehr schöne Unterkunft mit bequemen Bett. Zimmer und Badezimmer waren sehr sauber. Grosser Garten und ganz nahe am Strand gelegen. Sehr gutes, kostenfreies WLAN. Sofia (sprach sehr gut Englisch) und Gun waren herzliche und aufmerksame Gastgeber. Die Banana-Pancakes zum Frühstück waren super lecker und der Schnorcheltrip mit Gun einfach top. Und das alles zu absolut fairen Preisen. Ein kleines Restaurant war fussläufig in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Die Anfahrt ab Hauplandesteg mit einem lokalen Motorboot dauerte nur etwa 15 - 20 Minuten. Sehr empfehlenswert.

it has been the perfect stay! Sofia has been the most welcoming host that we have met. she has been helpfull for whatever we needed and really kind. We had one of the best breakfast ever as well (cooked from her). the location is perfect, waking up in a beautiful garden with the beach in front of you has no value. all the family has been amazing; the hausband and the young and cute daughter. i couldn't reccomend it more, if you want to go to Gili Gede you need to stay here.
