GBGBStayed here for a couple of nights recently while visiting a friend in the town of Battle. What a wonderful experience it was. The site is on the edge of and a short walk from the town, so it feels a lot more private and out on it's own. Lovel location with a big forest right next to it. I was made to feel very welcome by the couple running the site and I highly recommend the breakfast served up in one of the fields! All in all a great experience.

GBWe loved the location. We enjoyed having the firepit. The hammocks are a really nice touch. The shower was lovely a warm and the toilets well stocked with toilet roll and soap. We were very cosy in our pod. Bedding is provided, but we took an extra blanket anyway because the weather had been so nice during the day so we thought it would be chilly at night time and it was. Patrick and Philippa were very friendly and helpful, easy to talk to and made us feel really welcome. We'd definitely stay here again.
There was a sign coming into the glamping bit that said to take rubbish home with us, which we did, but there was no other signage about that in or around the pod and a bin was provided with a bin bag so we weren't sure if we were supposed to take that or that would be sorted for us. We took it anyway. A little map of the off-road walking route into Battle would be great, although we found our own way.
GBThe location was perfect, especially for someone travelling without a car. Battle station is within easy walking distance, but the site is still literally next to the great woods and the sound of birdsong is all around. The bed was very comfortable, the showers hot and it was great being able to hire a BBQ and fire pit for the evenings. The owners were incredibly helpful, making sure that I had everything I needed and free with recommendations when I wanted to go for a walk or go to the beach for the day.
Very minor thing, but the torch provided wasn't very powerful so definitely pay attention to the suggestion to bring your own light if you want to e.g., read after it gets dark
