The River Nest

Very cute apartment perfect for a couple to stay and easy to walk along the river into the city. Check in process was very easy. Felt safe in this area and the kitchen was an added bonus if staying for a few days.

Room was quite hot. We understood that there would be no air conditioning but a fan would be great. We were also really excited for the bottle of wine / champagne advertised but didn’t receive.

The bed was the most uncomfortable thing, especially sharing as a couple. Didn't sleep at all and gave me back pains. The apartment was fine otherwise but if I can't sleep the rest doesn't matter

In a residential area within easy walking distance of the town, bus and train station. No need to pay around £7 for a taxi. Also chosen for proximity to the Cathedral for early pickup of a bus tour and it's a lovely walk along the river. Spotlessly clean. The apartment is in a very quiet complex of 26 properties and has an unusual continental architectural vibe. I felt safe as a solo traveller.

Although there was a small balcony the furniture wasn't very inviting but it was good to have the door open. The bathroom is a good size but could do with an update. Being really picky now, but there was just 1 teaspoon and 2 knives.Improved glasses for water and wine would be good. Advertised and listed as wine in the welcome hamper but there wasn't.

It was beautiful 😍 Clean, spacious and comfortable. It had everything you would need for a short stay. The bed was comfortable n we slept so so well. TV was easy to use. Loved the welcome hamper such a nice touch. We absolutely loved staying here and would definitely recommend it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We loved our stay at The River Nest, it was a beautiful short walk into town alongside the river. The apartment was very well appointed and welcoming. We had fab weather while we were there particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony having breakfast and a late evening drink.

No blinds/curtains on the lounge window/doors for privacy
