The staff was very nice 🫶

I had a balcony room, and this was far from an ordinary hotel room. Incredibly spacious room, with a proper balcony with complete privacy thanks to the roof below. The light on the balcony worked. (Not common in Vietnam). Very comfortable duvet and pillows. Big fridge, kettle, beers, soft drinks and noodles in the room (extra cost of course), but free coffee tea and some water. Proper desk in addition to a table and chairs. Superb WiFi. Big bathroom, where the washbasin was fitted in a dry end of the room, so you don't need to get wet if you only want to wash your hands and brush your teeth. Add to this, friendly helpful staff who spoke a bit of English and were excellent with Google translate when needed. I couldn't have wished for better. The Mekong Star was a star. They also had a coffee shop downstairs. Superb location very close to the bus station.

Nice hotel, around 5-10 minutes walk to the market. The staff were very helpful and booked a bus to Ho Chi Minh City very cheaply for me.

A hotel in a perfect location. Friendly and helpful staff. A clean room with kettle, coffee and iced tea sachets provided but no milk. Extra coffee, iced tea sachets and bottled water provided when requested.

24 hours a day we heard what staff described as a water pump machine, which produces an extremely loud continuous thudding noise, which can be heard from within the room. When questioned the staff stated they would fix it to prevent it being heard during the night. But this is not what happened. Subsequently the day before check out we were offered a 15% discount for a disrupted sleep over four nights. The hotel apologised via a message on Booking.com and promised to switch off the pump between 23:00 and 06:00. The pump was switched off between 23:45 and 07:00. Ear plugs are maybe useful if you choose to stay at this hotel.
