Casa non troppo luminosa ma in compenso molto fresca

Amazing apartment, very spacious, clean with all equipment and appliances you may need, very well decorated with a good taste. There is a private parking. We liked the location a lot as it was quiet with supermarkets not far and just 20 minute nice walk to the city center. Host was very nice, she helped us with some requests.

Maybe it was a bit chilly in the bedroom as an airco is only in the living room but we were in Feb and there are very very warm duvets and blankets and if you are not cold blooded as I am, it is not a problem at all.

I received a message from the owner on the day of arrival: "The house is not available". I call her and ask, how can I get my money back? I paid 71,50Eur already and reservation is non-refundable. She said that she doesn't understand English, so I need to call the booking office and simply ended the conversation. From Italia to UK call cost me 31,76 EUR, so I get half of my money back!!!

Serena was the perfect host and was ther to greet me and show me around the apartment. I would recommend parking on site it was 2 euros a day and that was fine. The road it was on had parking but the locals do drive at speed.. it was about a 25 minute walk to the centre of town and ten minutes to a good supermarket.

We had the pleasure of staying in Serenas apartment while visiting Sicily. The apartment is very spacious, and although there aren't many/large windows, it has an intimate vibe, and considering the heat in Sicily in the summer, it's comfortable even without turning the AC on. As for amenities, the apartment is fully equipped, with an espresso machine, washing machine, gas stove, wifi and a smart tv. We had no issues whatsoever, the fridge is new. The level of cleanliness is very high, everything was immaculate. The bed is very comfortable, just perfect for a good night sleep after a day at the beach or sightseeing. As for Serena, she is a lovely host, very attentive to details, and offered us a warm welcome, with having prepared a pasta dish - which was amazing ( we arrived late in the evening) and water in the fridge, as well as coffee pods for the morning. We travel a lot, and this greeting goes at the top of what we consider to be an excellent experience, so I want to thank Serena again for her hospitality, and availability. As for the position of the apartment, it's located in a residential area, a 30 minute walk to the old town - Ortygia. There is a good restaurant nearby - Drago - where you can have a nice meal, gelato or grenadine. Another upside is that you can opt for private parking on premise for a modest amount. There is an outside table, where you can enjoy coffee or a meal outside - in the shade after 9 AM, which was a very nice feature. Serena, thank you again for the great experience, we will definitely come back.
