The Angel in Wootton Bassett

We use the Angel fairly frequently iwhen visiting family. It's in an ideal location. The rooms are adequate and in reasonable condition but maybe needing a refresh.

The food offering is really quite basic and only available for 4 hours per day . Strangely for a hotel , breakfast isn't available, though there are other options in the high street.

Very helpful staff member who gave me keys and info on parking. Free parking on highstreet right outside from 4pm->10am from Mon-Sat , very convenient. Heated bathroom floor, hot bath/shower, comfy bed and big room. Quiet no noise complaints. I was allowed to check in early which was kind of them, and the hotel is a half minute walk to Iceland for food shopping. And lovely chinese takeaway too down the street. I had the double bed room and would go there again. I didn’t eat the food at The Angel, but didn’t check the prices either so cannot comment there. Thankyou

Party was at the location so very much suited what we needed. Because it was a pub closed earlier than suited the whole party but that was probably licencing rules

Nice room, good meal, great location, friendly staff

My room (15) was next to a service room that was noisy at times - boiler or machine of some sort.

Very central, and staff very helpful

No fridge on room, very few tv channels
