VIC Aveiro Arts House

The location is prime. You can easily walk everywhere from there.

When I made the booking, my responsibility, I did not realise that it was a shared house with shared toilet and not separate rooms with private toilet. For those who don't mind sharing, wont be an issue. The door keys of the room had an issue and couldn't be easily open/closed. I was charged extra 5 eurs for late check in but I was stood up for 30min, and I arrived late at night. If they gonna charge extra, at least be on time.

A bit of amazing history in the heart of Aveiro

L’histoire de cette très belle maison d’un artiste polyvalent, l’esprit arty du lieu, avec un mobilier vintage super bien conservé, le salon et la cuisine très pratiques, les chambres spacieuses et chacune d’un esprit différent. Les hôtes super accueillants. L’emplacement central.

L’esprit arty de la maison conservée en respectant l’esprit d’origine, ses très jolis objets et meubles vintage d’époque, le salon et la cuisine accessibles, la visite de la maison par le couple qui a ouvert cette superbe maison. Très bon emplacement.

I'm here for a second time and it again exceeded my expectations! I had the whole apartment for myself, with a wonderful kitchen, sunny terrase, comfortable living room with a desk to work, a dual bed and large bathroom. All that for so little money, what more can one ask for.

The property is good, however a little improvement on the cleaning and maintainance should be made -- however owners are struggling and doing their best to do these things too!

The guest house is located a short walk to the scenic historic district and canals. Check-in was delightful. Lili provided a tour and the story of Vic, the artist whose home had become the guest house, and his amazing wife. The house is run by the grandson, which is also an artist residency and local art space. Vic's pieces where located throughout the building (and the city). It was wonderful to stay amongst his works. The guest house is clean and very well appointed. Ideal for solo travelers or couples.
