Trullo La chicca della valle

It was unique and the location was quiet. Being away from the main town was a positive.

No breakfast.

Very difficult to find. In the end I stopped at a shop and the hostess came to get me. Tiny sign on the gatepost and no sign off the main road. However it was a beautiful place to stay and very comfortable

This is one of the most beautiful properties we’ve ever stayed in. It shows off all of the beautiful original features of the trullo whilst being impeccably renovated to a really high spec, with spectacular attention to detail. (Angela’s son is an interior designer and was in charge of the renovation, and it shows!) the trullo has a fully stocked kitchen with every item of cookware or utensil you could need. the beds are incredibly comfortable and all linens are of a really high quality. The trulli themselves are a unique style of accommodation you can’t find anywhere else in the world, but La Chicca Della Valle is truly understated luxury on top of this. Value for money I don’t think can be beaten! Trust me in saying this will be one of the most special places you’ll stay in and never forget - if you’re reading this and debating between trulli options, choose this one.

Even if there was anything that wasn’t perfect (which there wasn’t) Angela and Giuseppe as hosts would have done anything and everything to rectify this. I knew the people of Puglia are revered for their welcoming hospitality and have experienced this, but I truly wasn’t expecting to feel as welcomed into a family as we were when staying here. The kindness and generosity of Angela and Giuseppe can’t be put into words - nothing was too much trouble and they both went out of their way to ensure we got the most out of our trip, without us even asking. They helped us co-ordinate all of our trips to the surrounding towns (which would have been quite difficult without a car - I’d really recommend hiring one for exploring this region if you can. Angela helped me organise a really special night for my dads birthday - Angela even made a cake for him, which just might have been one of the best I’ve ever had! (She is an amazing cook - there is an option to have dinner served by Angela in the trulli, and we chose this on the second night of our stay - one of the best meals we had in Puglia and yet one of the cheapest! also, so much food!!) Nothing was too much trouble - I can’t wait to come back and visit my new Italian family in Cisternino. Angela and giuseppe, you are one in a million. thank you again for everything and we will be back to see you ❤️❤️

hostess was very attentive and helpful; generous welcome bottle of sparkling wine and homemade focaccia. well provisioned and generally finished to a high spec.
