Secure parking and not too expensive

Very noisy on a Saturday though quiet after the pub closed at midnight

It was close to the event we were visiting.

The rooms were never cleaned over our 3 day stay. The shower had black mould and hairs around the edges and under the sliding door. Couldn’t plug the bedside lamp into a plug as there wasn’t one beside the bed so what’s the point of the lamp. Towel rail was rusty and covered in dust and could do with painting. Trying to get checked in was a nightmare due to a music festival we knew nothing about (booked 3 months in advance so they could have emailed to let us know), also due to this the car park was shut which was I convenient as I like to park close to the property I stay at. Went down to the pub on second night as we had no milk and the barmaid gave me a cup of milk and said that’s al that’s left. When questioned about the festival the response was well the whole village is booked out so park in the pay and display down the road and I reimburse your parking g when you leave if you give me the ticket. We asked about checking out what to do with the key as we would be leaving early hours and the barmaid just saiid there’s a box outside somewhere just drop it in that. Couldn’t find the box so gave the key to the cleaner (who by the way was the nicest friendliest member of the team we came across) she informed us the box is round the corner where you can’t see it(genius).

Staff were great and friendly. Shower in the room was awesome

Room 6 stunk of damp

The hotel was very good value for money, good bathroom, biscuits and tea and coffee in the room, the staff were friendly and helpful.

The access to the rooms was blocked partially by crates, so it was difficult sometimes to get up to the room from the bar.

The location was perfect for us and was accessible for what we needed.

The towel rail was extremely rusty and couldn’t be used. The toilet paper was really thin and poor quality.
