Malgudi Stays-Murud Janjira Beach Family Stay

I had an incredible experience at this beach side Malgudi homestay in Murud, nestled in the heart of Konkan. The location is perfect—just steps away from the serene and picturesque beach, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. What truly sets this homestay apart is the authentic Konkan hospitality and the delicious, homemade food. Every meal was a culinary delight, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and traditional flavors that captured the essence of the region. From the perfectly spiced fish curry, fresh prawns to the soft delicious Ukadiche Modak and tangy Kokam curry, every dish was a testament to their commitment to quality and authenticity. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay. The hosts were incredibly warm and accommodating, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. It was nicely maintained, close from the beach. Pleased by the hospitality.

We liked room, it's really ideal for 2 families or 8 to 10 people going towards Murud janjira. Surrounding is very peaceful, beach is just 2 mins away. Beach is very beautiful even though it's not white sand. Kids enjoyed swim n water sports. Very less crowded beach n beach side where we stayed. Walking on beach early morning n evening is memorable. Sunrise n sunset very memorable. Town is very beautiful, especially the market areas. We did fort n historical tour so we did Alibag fort Colaba, Revdanda fort, Korlai fort then came to Janjira and Padmadurga fort. Food we had was very tasty. We had asked local speciality so they prepared Chicken wade, then evening had fish curry n fry then had a dish called Sanjan Mutton with kokam saar, it was very delicious still unforgettable food experience. Hosts gave us very warm welcome. It's just 3 hrs 45 mins or precisely 157 kms from Pune, we reached in less time as tamhini road is good for driving. We liked the stay as it was value for money though it's self service, they gave us possession of room. Delicious food, market walk, beach walk and our trip where we wanted to explore history with family. Forts are really very picturesque and full of history. I recommend Malgudi Stays.

There's nothing as such but it's self service... which is actually good because cost wise its beneficial for guests as it reduces their cost. However nothing to complain.
