Sea Star House

The room was big, the shower was great. Even tho the street is busy it was still quite in the room. The staff was helpful and kind.

The mattress was a bit hard

comfortable bed n clean room , the lady at the counter was so nice n the location was good, near beach easy to find tuk-tuk n food

when u leave ur food in the room many ants will come

Sea Star House has a number of pluses in that it is cheap by Krabi standards, has a good location close to the beach in the heart of town, the rooms are spacious with wifi provided, and the included breakfast at the adjoining cafe was good. If you are out and about all day, do not want any hotel facilities like a pool, and like the nightlife then this place is perfect.

On the minus side the music from the surrounding bars is very noisy till the early hours of the morning (not fault of the hotel). The rooms are large but basic with old threadbare towels and sheets, no fire alarms, no facilities such as a pool or comfortable guest lounge where you could relax or sit with friends, and generally the place feels a bit rundown and needs a update. However if you like loud music, or are a heavy sleeper, and want something cheap and well located then Sea Star House is for you but bring your ear plugs with you.

Nice two star hotel with a breakfast at the cafe next to it. My room was in the back so it was quiet but the rooms facing the busy street must be noisy. The shower was really big and nice!!! The best thing is that it is right across the booth and the beach where you buy Longtailboat tickets to Raley beach etc islands. There is also a safebox in the room.

The street is super busy and noisy and hectic. I did not know that unless you put the sign “ clean my room” on the doorknob, it is not automatically cleaned.

Location

Very bad cleaning, old towels with black marks and holes. A lot of cockroaches running in the bathroom. I stayed a week, sheets were changed only once after I requested it. Cleaner forgetting to clean the room, forgetting battles of water, forgetting toiletries, never mopping the floor. Furniture are very old, need a refreshment. Location is perfect but very noisy. There is no elevator, if you are on the third floor is a problem. No receptionist during the night, if you are checking out early morning is a problem. It was overvalued for the services offered.

This is right across from the beach and where you can go out on a long boat, watch a fabulous fire show, and go to many clubs and restaurants.

Front desk rarely staffed, so not easy to engage with them for help. Room was large and quiet, and clean, but could use some updating of furniture and fixtures.

The location was perfect. Right on the beach! Big room and balcony to match. The staff were very nice and helpful and organised out trip to the airport for us.

Everything was perfect!
