"This homestay offers authentic Balinese hospitality and easy access to local attractions."

10.0

I absolutely loved this homestay. Unlike the typical hotels in the center of Ubud, this homestay gave me the unique opportunity to live alongside Balinese locals and build genuine friendships with the neighbors in the village. Staying here allowed me to truly explore Balinese culture—practicing Indonesian with the host family, visiting attractions with them, and even attending a family wedding. This incredible experience made my two weeks in Bali truly unforgettable, and I owe much of it to the warm hospitality and kindness of the host family.

There’s really nothing I found unfavorable about this homestay, but I’d like to share a few helpful tips for future guests. Despite being located in a small village, getting around is quite easy with the Grab app—it’s reliable and convenient for transportation. For dining, a five-minute scooter ride will take you to the main road, where you’ll find plenty of shops and restaurants. If you prefer walking, it’s about 15 minutes to reach the main road and nearby cafés. Additionally, reaching popular tourist attractions like the Ubud Palace is quick and straightforward from this location. The homestay has a friendly dog and one rooster, which are common in traditional Balinese homes. It’s worth considering if you’re not accustomed to being around animals or early morning sounds. Lastly, the bathroom is separate from the main living space, as is typical in traditional homes. This didn’t cause any inconvenience during my stay and contributed to the authentic experience of living in a Balinese village.
