The Baobab Inn

It’s a very convenient stop over, food was great at the restaurant. Staff were friendly.

Pool was green, water issues have been going on since the last time some of my family stayed. It’s looking tired, needs some TLC.

The atmosphere

Our room was neat and clean, and the bathroom was spotless. We had dinner on the first night and ordered ribs with chips and ribs with vegetables. The food was tasty, and it was refreshing to have a variety of vegetables instead of the usual options. The cabbage was especially delicious. As it was a special celebration weekend for us, we were allowed to bring our own wine to dinner, which we really appreciated. We left early the next morning for a private game drive, but returned for lunch. Lunch was excellent — a homemade burger and the Prego steak roll, which is a must-try. It was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Because it was extremely hot, we enjoyed a swim in the pool. We returned again for dinner that evening, and once again the staff accommodated us. It was relaxed and enjoyable, with a lovely, chilled atmosphere. Although a few small details were missing at dinner, it didn’t detract from the overall experience. We left early the following morning. There was apparently a water issue in the area during our stay, but Clinton, the manager, kept us informed the entire time. Thanks to their borehole, we would never have noticed, as it did not impact us at all. It was great to interact with such a hands-on manager — he was present at every meal and always took the time to check in with us. This is not a five-star establishment, but it offers excellent value for money. It’s clean, safe, affordable, and ideal for an overnight stay, with good restaurant and pool facilities. The location is perfect if you’re visiting the main game reserve or spending the day in St Lucia. I would definitely stay here again.

There was very little to dislike or mention negatively. Perhaps a bit more training for the restaurant staff would help, as there seemed to be some minor confusion with small details in a few of our orders. It might also be helpful to add an extra coffee and creamer sachet per person in the rooms. These are just small niggles and personal preferences, and they did not detract from our overall experience.

Les coupures d'eau (prévues) mais non annoncées (système de pompage). Nous avons attendu une première fois 35min pour avoir de l'eau chaude, et une seconde fois 25min, tout cela en ayant été demander ce qu'il se passait plusieurs fois (on nous a annoncé à chaque fois 5min d'attente). Nous avons dû demander également l'ouverture du portail (attente 10min). Pas d'eau au reveil non plus (pas de douche, pas de toilettes, de WC, de remplissage de bouteilles..). La cloison de la salle de bain ne monte pas jusqu'au plafond, pas d'intimité. Une partie du personnel semblait désintéressé par notre présence. Dommage, le cadre est pourtant sympathique.

I really enjoyed my stay at boabab inn .The staff were very friendly and welcoming❤️💐, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and everything felt well taken care of. The owner had excellent hospitality. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing a perfect place to unwind. I also appreciated the great service and attention to detail. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others❤️❤️❤️
