Why Not

The location

The property was cold on arrival. The stairs to 3rd floor steep, wooden and without gripper treads . There was a glass panel at the bottom so felt quite unsafe coming down them. The shower was scolding hot and no adjustment . You could not stand under it . The host obviously knows there is a problem as there was a note on the wall . The only wine glasses there were, were red and didn’t match even though in the cottage description it states highly quality glassware . No flutes or white wine glasses. The best part about the cottage was the location .

Clean, cosy and comfortable, within easy reach of most attractions. Complementary bottle of wine always goes down well:)

Why Not is a very comfortable and well equipped cottage. The kitchen was particularly good. On arrival we couldn't get the shower to work but this was rectified very quickly after Cotswold Cottages sent an after hours plumber out (after checking that was OK with us). Impressive! Bedding was comfortable. The cottage is in a great location. Very easy to walk to the pubs and shops in Stow, which is a lovely village. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The cottage doesn't actually have any allocated parking, you just have to take your chances with whatevers available in the street, which can be sparse, but in our 3 nights we didn't have to park too far away. Two sets of stairs to get to the upper bedroom is tough with luggage but we are in our 60's and 70s and managed. You need to be reasonably fit.

The location was great, very close to the centre of Stow.

The WiFi connection was poor and I am not sure if this was a temporary issue or a more lasting problem.

Great cottage in an awesome location!

Great location. Beautiful cottage and decor. Very comfy furniture and beds. Perfectly clean.
