Nice apartment, well equipped and good located, only a short walk away from old town walls. Terrace was also convenient to relax outside in the evenings. Contact with the host was perfect (although only virtual).

We had occassional drainage problems in the bathroom but it surely depends on the house not the apartment. Only one magnetic card - inseparable from the keys - for operate the electricity of the flat, so when we got home in the evening it was hot inside and could temperate the apartment only at that time. I get the sparing of electricity but that was a bit inconvenient.

What a great experience! Manolis, our host, was extremely helpful and friendly during our entire 1-month stay. He provided us with a complete list of nearby grocery stores, food delivery options, and points of interest near the apartment. The apartment is in a quiet, local residential area, with lots of shops nearby. It's only about a 10 minute walk to the center of town from the apartment. My boyfriend and I are digital nomads so we carry all of our stuff with us. The apartment has more than enough storage (the closets visible in the photos easily fit our 2 large suitcases and 2 carry-ons with room to spare), so it was nice to finally unpack our large suitcases! (We've stayed at a lot of AirBNB's. Sometimes all you get is a shelf or two, lol) The Wi-Fi was fast and we never had issues with it, even when both of us were on separate video calls for work. The apartment is just like in the photos, and was very comfortable for the 2 of us. That said, it might be a little tight for 4 adults, but still comfortable for a family (just due to the fact that the storage is in the bedroom). The couch has a pull-out queen size bed, so it could easily fit 2 kids or adults. All the furniture was very comfortable, and appliances were new. The kitchen is stocked with pans and cooking utensils. It really is a cozy, private space, and felt like 'home' during our stay. To be honest, we're going to miss Manolis and his great place. Heraklion is a beautiful, calm city and Manolis really made us feel welcome. Overall a great stay, and I would recommend this place to anyone despite it being a new listing. Manolis has clearly put a lot of thought and care into preparing this apartment and honestly, I wouldn't have thought we were the first guests. He was extremely professional and friendly. Thank you so much, Manolis! We hope to see you again soon on our next visit to Heraklion. :)

The tap water isn't drinkable, but that seems to be normal in Greece. There are stores around the corner that sell bottled water.
