"Perfect & idyllic"

10.0

Set away from prying eyes and a short drive from Montecatini Terme, our stay at Vico House La Selva was both relaxing and enchanting. The view of nearby villages atop hills and olive trees, combined with the quiet charm of Tuscan living was exactly what we needed. The bedrooms were very spacious, comfortable, as well as both meticulously and elegantly decorated. All bathrooms were new and high specs, with good shower pressure. Our morning view of the olive grove from all the bedrooms made our lazy mornings perfect! The open kitchen plan allowed us to all participate in preparing meals together and the barbecue stations, equipped with a beautiful slab of marble, aided in making meal prep even more enjoyable. Sunlit terrace for those, like myself, that needed to bask in the summer sun, and an equally large shaded terrace with a fan for those that wanted to read without getting sunburned, but what topped it was the comfort created in all spaces. I highly recommend this villa, for its vicinity to airports (both Florence and Pisa), as well as the ability to easily travel all around this part of the region. Days out to visit Forte die Marmi, Lucca, Pisa, and so many other nearby cities and towns made this home perfect after a long day out, especially as the home came with daily cleaning! We enjoyed the festival in the nearby town of Marliana and the markets all around us.

"What an amazing Villa with wonderful hosts. We hope to enjoy this piece of heaven again so day!"

10.0

Markus and Eric were fantastic hosts, no detail was too small. Staying here was a wonderful experience, there are not words to describe the serenity of this property. The beds were comfortable, and the decor of the Villa was stunning. The view, the patio, the catered dinner, the nature, the list goes on and on. There are a lot of local (non-touristy) restaurants close by that were fabulous, but you need to make a reservation as they are busy as locals enjoy them also. The villa is very private and secluded so you will need to drive everywhere. With that said, it is a short drive to the markets and restaurants.

There was nothing to dislike.
