Leiden City Centre Canal View or Terrace View Apartments

The hosts were friendly and helpful. Nice and clean apartment. All I needed was the bed and bathroom really. I appreciate the Dyson heater/cooler during the chilly nights.The area and Leiden in general was quite charming. The markets were right there on certain days. I was able to get the most out of Leiden during my stay. Might come back.

There were some noises, but not loud enough to keep me awake. However, I stayed during the Leiden festivities. It's something that needs to be kept in mind, if visitors plan to stay between the 1. - 3. of October. People nearby would blast some loud music till like 1 or 2am and I had to squeeze myself through the crowd to get back to the apartment on one of those nights. It was the 450th anniversary of Leiden's Ontzet, so it was a lot bigger than usual I was told. Regardless, I still appreciate the experience and all the sides I get to see of Leiden. After the festivities, the situation was quite normal.

Great location, Great service. Very friendly and informed host. Close to the center. Charming small place to enjoy Leiden at its best.

The "terrace view" and the size of the "appartment".

The host was extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive. The room and the entire apartment is extremely clean as well. Location is also great and convenient. Close to the market and lots of local stores.

The apartment was smaller than what I thought it would be based on the photos, and in the morning and when it is raining, it is quite noisy from the neighbours in another building (?) as well as the sea gulls (not to blame though).

Location, price, clean

For the price, I do recommend. But, having a coffee pod or two would be a nice thing to offer. Patio is nice, but it is looked down upon by several other apartments so I never felt enough privacy to sit out there. Not much can be done about it, though. I'd still stay again, but not because of the terrace.
