Orchard retreat off grid shepherds huts in Dorset

The hut was well equipped and very peaceful and quiet. The hot tub was also a great place to be sitting, watching the stars. It was nice to be able to enjoy the Dorset Star Cider and pizzas available on Saturday night in amongst the orchard.

It’s a beautiful little hut in a beautiful location. It’s really peaceful and on a clear night to be able to gaze up at the stars from hot tub was an incredible experience.

Only issue I would say is when using the shower the temperature fluctuated for the first few mins and due to space and power of the shower the shower curtain blows around which can make the floor a little wet.

Such a perfect place to relax and enjoy the surrounding views. Dan and Kathrine are so lovely and make you feel at home. They’ll help with anything you need and are lovely to even just have a chat. The pizza and cider night on Saturday was one of the many highlights and we both thoroughly enjoyed the homemade cider and sourdough pizzas! The orchard is a great place to stay, we would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to book again in the future.

Comfortable stay in very rural spot, felt like we had the county to ourselves

Absolutely beautiful location, we enjoyed the privacy, the hot tub facing the Orchard field. The hut is very well kept and cozy, perfect for a couple gateway! Katherine has been an amazing host, very friendly. They also have a pizza oven where you can enjoy some nice pizzas made by the hosts. Overall a perfect weekend and we will definitely go back!

It was all perfect!

The privacy and location are fantastic. The hot tub was hot and clean on arrival. The BBQ/firepit was really good and useful. Bed was comfortable. Cider was delicious! Lovely outlook from the decking - good for star gazing on a clear night.

Lots and lots of flies - would be good to have mesh over the windows and a citronella candle. No 3 pin plug sockets so staying for a long time would be difficult without hair dryer/straightener!

What didn't we love! This is our third stay here we love everything about it ... the peace, tranquility, views, hot tub, comfy bed, great facilities and of course the cider barn and the homemade wood fire pizzas are just gorgeous We will be booking again next year for our 4th stay!
