Petite chambre en rez de chaussée. Bouilloire, eau, petits gateaux et machine à café, à disposition alors que le petit déjeuner n'etait pas inlus. Le couple hôte ne parlent pas anglais mais nous avons pu communiquer avec Google translate. Le lit est ferme (très confortable) et nous avons pu nous garer a proximité. Les sassi de matera sont à moins de 15 min à pied.

Our host, Cezare, was amazing! He took us to the city centre by his car and showed us around, telling us lots of interesting facts about the area with the help of a translator. He also gave us some useful tips. He even found us a parking spot in front of the building. The room no.2 was smaller but nice and cosy. Ideal for a couple. It faced the street by a window with electrical opening system. It had good blinds. Bed was firm and big. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. There were also complimentary snacks and water in the fridge, as well as a coffee machine at the hallway. Cesar even refilled them for us before he left. Check out was super easy. We were generaly happy about this stay! We would recommend it.

The only thing that spoiled our experience were our neighbours. There were two rooms connected by a hallway, and their main door was located right next to our window. Whenever they went outside to smoke and have their coffee while we were sleeping or relaxing, all the cigarette smoke came into our room. This ruined our mornings. In the evening, when they returned from the city, they were loud and unable to close the main door properly, repeatedly slamming it shut. The walls could also be more soundproof as we could hear everything they did. I also put a beer in the fridge after checking in, which I wanted to enjoy during the walk into the city. However, it disappeared from the designated shelf.

Nice location near the historic centre. The host was reserving the free parking place in front of the accomodation with his own car. When we arrived he drove his own car away and gave the space for us. Eventhoug we didn't have the same langyage, we communicated nicely with google translation.
