Il Principe di Genova

The communication for the keys were fine and we found them. However, we didn't know we would be on the 5th floor with tiny narrow staircase and the tiny foyer was covered in builders tools and waste. We couldn't go up the stairs so just had to leave and forfeit our money. The website said the upper floors had stairs but it wasn't clear we were to be on the top floor of five flights of stairs.

Nice location, only 2 minutes by walk from the train station (Piazza Principe). The apartment has a huge terrace with a nice city view. Very well equipped, clean and the whole aparment has a very nice athmosphere. Landlord was very flexible and we were able to check in earlier which we appreciated very much.

The most annoying thing was that there was often no hot water (there were times when it went off during taking shower). There is no curtain on the windows. I know we are in the city, but it was louder than expected even with the windows closed. The bed and the mattress were not the best. Not negative for me, but some might need to know: You wont see any drop of sea water from the terrace (only some cranes and upper part of some huge cruise ships). Not for old, you will need your strength to be able to carry your luggages to the top floor (steps are quite steep but elevatior is under construction).

I enjoyed staying in Principe di Genova very much. The flat is very beautiful, big and nice furnished. Big comfortable bed, very well equipped kitchen and the best terrace ever where I could enjoy evenings with a glass of wine and lovely view. Roberto is very kind and nice host, he told me about best places I Genova and nearby and he war very helpful with everything. The location of the apartment is perfect, very close to everything. I would recommend this place to stay and enjoy beautiful Genova.

There was confusion over how we got into the apartment. The owner didn't make it clear that we HAD to meet him at the station. Also, the Booking.com map puts the building in the wrong place by at least 100m. Also, the street is really a back alley and is like the 3rd world - poor, dirty and not necessarily 100% safe.

This hotel has the wrong address. On the map it is indicated that the house is located near the water (that's why it was booked), but in fact the house is a long road and another house in a terrible drug addict area It is very scary to walk there during the day, and at night it is even worse. Near the house, an African American tore an expensive piece of jewelry from my girlfriend's neck The ad says it has a sea view. But the sea is not visible at all! The terrace is large, but the windows from neighboring houses overlook it directly and you can reach it with your hand We waited in the rain for 3 hours waiting for a check-in until a friend of the landlady could not find us at the other end of the building. Check-in at these apartments from 3 pm and check-out at 10 am. 19 hours of stay in this not very pleasant place for 122€ I think is a little expensive!

The apartment is very conveniently located only a few hundred metres from the station and Roberto met us there and walked with us to the property. He was also kind enough to carry my bags up the stairs to the apartment. The property is clean and comfortable with everything you need for your stay. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen and found it had all we needed. The terrace was a lovely spot to sit in the afternoon. There was a grocery store located right next to the apartment so that was really useful.

Nothing! We really enjoyed our stay. The weather was hot while we were there and we found it very comfortable to have the windows open allowing the breeze in. The street the property is on is perfectly safe and the location is very handy for daytips.

The place is well equipped and clean, the terrace is fresh and nice (only at night) and it is close to the aquarium and the old part of the city. You are provided with necessities like coffee, cooking oil, a couple fans and a discount ticket for the parking.

It’s an old attic without insulation so temperatures during summer are unbearable even with a fan. Whole entrance of the building smells like human piss and has suspicious brown drippings all over the walls. The street it’s placed in gives off shady vibes and you are recommended to avoid it. If you use the washing machine your clothes will smell like rancid humidity.
