The Old Chapel Manton

This is a lovely property. There were only 2 of us, so we had plenty of space. Potentially within walking distance of Marlborough but only a 5 minute drive.

There is on street parking but not always outside the door. We had a rude note left on our window on one occasion even though when we parked there was plenty of room. Any obstruction had been caused by a car across the road.

We had a two week stay at the old chapel and had everything we needed. Very clean and cosy. Very quiet and comfortable beds. For an old building it was surprisingly modern. Rachel was so accomadating and we had a fab time. Top quality in all things. Furnishings good. Outside space sufficent as well. The area is beautiful and we found some amazing walks. I will be booking again for sure

The property had everything you could think of, carefully laid out, comfortable, in a good position for us to get to Avebury, very helpful host, we couldn't have been happier there. Thank you Rachel!

The little bedroom needed some hooks on the wall and a grab rail in the bath, but that's all. It was virtually perfect.

Great location for exploring the prehistoric sites in Wiltshire. The village is small, and best suited for traveler with a car. There is a local pub open 5 days a week. There is a small patio area in the back, and the front faces the high street. Very clean and decorated in neutrals and whites. The kitchen is well appointed. Liked having a separate freezer so we could make ice. There is a dishwasher and clothes washer. Great mattresses.

I dislike duvet bed covers, and this is the only option—too hot and no top sheet., soggy by morning with sweat. Parking is on the street, but readily available. No coffee table in the living room—we moved a bench from the kitchen in to serve. You must lock door with a key from the inside which could be a safety issue in a fire.
