The Buck Hotel

Breakfast in the room. Gluten-free cereals left for two of us. Fridge with fresh milk and yogurts. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were very spacious and well decorated. We ate in the pub and the food was excellent. Catering well for allergies. Famous for ‘parmo’ and they do a gluten free version too!

There was nothing to dislike.

Tight flight of stairs to negotiate with cases

Large comfortable room and bathroom. Very clean. Nice and warm Comfy chairs from where you could watch the TV would have been good. There was a large settee to the side but it was too heavy to move easily.

Cobwebs in room which indicated no deep cleaning. Cups for coffee were dirty and had stained coffee marks at the bottom. Splash back behind toilet and sink clearly had stains drip marks on which again indicated that it hadnt been cleaned since the last occupants were there Hair in the shower and in bathroom before use No blinds or privacy on the windows which faced out to the car park which meant that when we changed in the day or needed privacy the curtains had to be closed so no natural light came in the room. The entry way at night didn't feel safe it was pitch black inside an alley way and the security light only came on after being right up to the door.
